Late last year, Dr. Nic S Tumbokon visited his aging mother and his siblings whom he had not seen for a long, long time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. While there, he was able to mingled with the community of Ibajaynons on various occasions and activities - even had the chance of attending few of their scheduled organization meetings. On one of these occasions, he happened to talked about the situation, as he sees it, of Ibajay Emergency Hospital. Dr. Nic is one of those government physician assigned in this very same hospital.
At the start, he don't know where to begin telling his listeners on the situation of our hospital. The hospital's problem is so varied, that he had to sort it out mentally for a moment, analyzing which ones need the utmost attention. Yes, the hospital roof leaks alright, but that's not that important - that only happens when it rains ... He continued telling, that the hospital's immediate needs are just the basic ones - syringes, scalpels, globes, gauge, bandages, anti-biotics, linen, gowns and the like.
The Ibajaynons of Ontario discussed the problem among themselves to see what they can do to alleviate the situation. They acted in unity that in no time they were able to produced some of the articles Dr. Nic mentioned as of "utmost" necessity - so short a time that Dr. Nic was able to take some of it with him when he returned home.
The following letter is from Dr. Rivera, commending the noble actions the Ibajaynons of Ontario did. Dr. Rivera is the chief doctor of the said hospital.
Good work, Ontario ...
