AS for NEKO-CON...this was the first con I went to without Mike. We had our share of major prblms and this weekend was quite a therapy for me. I guess.... unfortunatly for some of my friends it was a disaster for them. Well in the beginning..and in the end...they were all going home happy coz they all got what they wanted . (and I DIDN"T!!! *sobbbbbb* *waterfall tears*) This convention was one convention I know me and my friends will never forget. There were quite a lot of problems among us but we really didnt let that bother each other. We had fun. First off.. I cant really exaggerate how beautiful that hotel is! ( and its just a mere simple Holiday Inn hotel!) along with the perfect accomodations like free parking ..sauna... hottub... and an indoor/outdoor pool. The indoor was open and gawd was I happy to go swimming in it early in the morning! Friday afternoon was when I first arrived and got to see everyone and shrieked each time I saw my friends. I loved the way I scared a few of my friends (which usally brought up a bout of sweet laughter!!! Hell i needed it...) And spent part of the night joking about Donnie's Jessie/James Team Rocket finger puppets....to the point where it was really gettin nasty and hilarious! We did that for a good three hours and finally i decided to crash. I checked my time then and realized that we dont have daylight savings time anymore. That really threw me off.. and it was only 7 pm and it felt like... midnight. U just ask around and they ll start tellin yas how it threw so many peoples off. I spent most of early EARLY ( i mean like 4 30 am in the morning damnit.) saturday morning tossing Pikachu back and forth on the first floor of the hotel...and we stopped right before the brown shirt security (which was the virginia cops) rolled around! (those guys were a pester but hey they are there for good reasons :) And of course Mike had tricks up his sleeves..he dropped a letter to Kevin Lillard with a quite a sweet little msg for me saying he missed me and loved me. Had three other guys there with me and they all went " AWWW HOW SWEEEETT!!!" And started teasing me after that (just like little kids would do...heck..isnt that what cons are about????)I was quite redfaced. (there was one particular person would have LOVED seeing that look on my face...and he would have not stopped teasing me all day long ....u know who you are :P ) So we just stayed around and teased and waited for everyone else to wake up and all..One by one..the cosplayers got up and rumamged for their costumes and put them on and brought life back into the hotel.It was rather neat to see that happen so early in the morning. The day went on as its usual bout of bustling cosplayers and etc etc etc. Night time rolls in and cosplay begins. (and the prblms begin for me...aarrruuugghh..and thats when all those who had prblms....theirs disappeared...grrr..u guys had it GOOD! :P) I literally spent my time at the bar watching the football game more than the cosplay and frying my brain with vodka and cranberry drinks.. and ended up flashing some of my friends with the flashbulb of my camera (where i have no film in it either..u know that little neat trick eh? :P) Yep..that was the idiotic kid of me coming out! (Boy as the con goes on..the more kid like I get..surprisenly ... I dont get into trouble :P *NUAAH* Cosplay was over rather quick as I understood from my friends. So if you want to check out the pictures ..check them out on the fansview page. I finally conked out rather late that night after a breakdown that I had. Its a long story and its old now! SO DONT ASK! allright. Sunday rolls in and nothing much is going on. Many of my friends leave that day to endure their long assed drives home. I know the feeling...but those who come a LONG way... Please Be Careful! The Traffic is a bitch out there! But hey, Im sure that everyone at the con (including me) had a great time and I wish I could see more cons like that. I do have some pictures up and there will be more rolling in as soon as I develope it and scan them in too. Oh I did forget one thing. Mike: This is from everyone at the Neko-Con ..including me: WE ALL MISSED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
