Lamb Satay

Satay are short, oriental-style kebabs. We've used ready-made satay sauce for an authentic taste with minimum effort.

Preparation:20 mins (plus at least 1 hour to marinate)

500g (1lb 2oz) Healthy Eating Lamb Leg Steak, cut into 2cm (¾ inch) strips

1 x 200ml Jar Satay Sauce

½-1 x 5ml sp (½-1 tsp) Chilli Powder

2 Medium Onions, cut into chunks

1 Large Red Pepper, cut into chunks

8 Wooden Skewers

Method 1 In a bowl, mix the lamb with the satay sauce and chilli powder. Cover and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. 2 Thread the meat onto 8 wooden skewers, adding the chunks of onion and pepper alternately. Brush with the marinade from the bowl and cook on the barbecue or under a pre-heated grill for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until it becomes lightly charred.
