My absolute favorite anime series. It keeps a perfect balance
between serious plot and ridiculously funny moments, while including
lovable characters, great swordfighting scenes, and all the bishonen
a girl could wish for. (well, not as many as are included in FY, but
they're very high quality bishonen)
On this page you can find all of my fanfiction- there's a heck of a lot of it now, and I write more and more all the time. I'm definitely an addict. I also finally got around to adding images of a bunch of the main characters, as well as a page of links to my favorite RK pages. I just finished spiffing up everything...the page is very pretty now. =)
If you like my fanfiction, please do write and tell me. I thrive on critique. =) Besides, how else will I know people see it?
This is what got me absolutely, irrevocably hooked on anime...the
exploits of an aquatransexual and all his equally zany friends! (I
was fifteen, and someone showed me the episodes where Ryouga is
introduced...it was all so much fun!)
This page is devoted to my character profiles (in which I babble a lot), link to my favorite Ranma 1/2 fanfiction pages, and all the Ranma 1/2 fanfiction that I've written myself.
I'm working on Validation. Sort of. Really. Well, whenever I take a break from my RK fanfiction, that is...*looks very sheepish*
I've completely revamped the page- it took far and away the most
work of any of them, because I made thumbnails for all the images.
*twitch* *twitch* I hope y'all appreciate it. (sometimes I forget
how spoiled I am by the T1 connection I get through my school...
lightning-quick Ethernet speed is a good thing)
Anyway the page looks very neat and no longer takes such a ridiculous amount of time to load. I'm sorry it took me so long to do. =)
PLEASE let me know if any of the links aren't working. I don't have time right now to check them all myself. Thanks very much. =)
This has a seemingly typical story to begin with- Japanese
schoolgirl gets transported to another world where she becomes
important, falls in love with two beautiful guys, ponders the meaning
of Good, Evil, Destiny, and so on and so forth. But Escaflowne is
different. It's fantasy plus mecha, the characters are fantastic,
the plot is creative, and for once the main heroine *isn't* an
idiot. Hitomi is perceptive, empathic, spunky, and a lot of fun to
watch. You can argue over the finer points of this series for ages
(I know, I used to be on the mailing list). Especially those floating
rocks!!!! What in the heck is up with the floating rocks!?!?!?!?!
AUGH!
At any rate...this is a truly fantastic piece of anime...it's just been officially released in the US; check out animevillage.com to have a look.
I've started writing fanfiction for Escaflowne. I've shown the first chapter to the members of the official Esca mailing list, and got lots of good responses, but I haven't managed to finish the second one yet. Heck, I haven't managed to post the first one on this page yet. If you're curious and want to read it, write me, and I'll send you a copy.
Yes, this is next on my list of pages to be reworked. I have a lot of new images to add. =) However, it's going to have to wait until summer. Be patient.
Marmalade Boy is like a soap opera gone crazy. It's cute and
sweet and sunshiney somehow (aaah! alliteration! noooooo!!!) even when
it's being angsty, and makes me deeply happy on a very very shallow
"Happy-ever-after" love story level. I like it a great deal. Even if
it's a soap opera. (hey man, life is a soap opera...it's just more
fun to watch it without getting really involved. It's also more fun if
the people involved have purple hair and eyes)
Anyway, this series is spliftykeen, and for some reason even the angsty episodes where everything goes wrong (note: that describes much of the series; I said it was a soap opera) make me happy.
Look! There's pictures here! There's a PAGE here! Wheeeee! Granted, it's only pictures of Miki, but hey, I'm preoccupied with other pages still.
Hopefully coming in the future: a tribute to Miyazaki, the astonishing creator of Nausicaa (Warriors of the Wind), Whispers of the Heart, and Princess Mononoke...wow! The best animation ever! Seriously! To quote my friend Melf-chan...if it were any better, it would be real. Also hopefully coming soon will be a Slayers page; my second favorite anime series. =)
