Episode 2:

Shinji is shown in the hospital next to Rei. Shinji remembers how he defeated the Angel while he was unconscious. The Eva beat the Angel when it the Eva went berserk and severely damaged the Angel, making The Angel self-destructed itself and took a good part Tokyo-3 with it. Shinji was also transferred under the care of Misato, and she became his guardian. He has to do all the work around the apartment and Shinji also meets Pen Pen, a penguin.
