I was the MVP (Most Valueable Player) in a tournament when I was 15, but a serious knee injury caused me a big problem at high school. Therefore, I gave up basketball and hung out with bad people. With the help of Coach Anzai, I regained confidence and started playing again. I am perhaps the most accurate three-point shooter in Kanagawa. My weakness is my lack of energy. However, I am still the best shooting guard in the province.

Position: Point guard

NBA player alike: Rod Strickland

Despite being the shortest player on the team, Miyagi claims himself to be the best point guard in the province, although he is only third best next to Maki and Fujima. His quickness and leadership makes him an almost unstoppable player. His passing skills are so creative and fast that it is extremely hard to steal from it.

Position: Power Forward

NBA player alike: Dennis Rodman

Sakuragi is also known as the Genius because he learned the game of basketball very quickly. His main job is to rebound, especially on the offensive board, but he can also score with powerful slam dunks. He is the third best power forward next to Jin and Fukida.

Number: 11

Position: Small Forward

NBA player alike: Scottie Pippen

Rukawa is one of the best players in Kanagawa. Although he is quiet, he is very explosive on the court. His coolness and talent attracts many girls, especially Haruko Akagi. Offense is his game. He often steps up and carries his team when it needs scoring, which makes him the best rookie. He is the best small forward in the province along side with Sendoh.

Number: 4

Position: Center

NBA player alike: David Robinson

Like most centers, Akagi is an extremely powerful man in the middle. He can slam in almost anyone's face with his unguardable Gorilla Slam. His determination and spirit makes him the leader of Team Shohoku. He is also the best center in the province.

Number: 6

Position: Back up Forward

Kogure spends most of his time on the bench even though he is the vice captain of the team, but he practises hard and eventually becomes an accurate shooter.
