Luna is Usagi's advisor. She is from a planet whose inhabitants are...cats. She, like almost every other Sailor Moon character, has a true love. That true love turns out to be Artemis, Minako's guardian cat. Actually, Luna once falls in love with a man named Kakeru. Kakeru has always believed that there is a princess that lives on the moon. And when an evil snow fairy called Princess Snow Kaguya wants to freeze over the earth, Kakeru mistakens her as the princess of the moon. Princess Snow Kaguya has lost the crystal that she is going to use to freeze over the planet. Kakeru finds the crystal, but the crystal attaches itself to him, and drains away Kakeru's energy. He meets Luna whom at that time is having a fever and about to make her way home. When she collapses on the road, Kakeru saves her from getting hit by a car. He takes her with him, and stays up all night to make sure that she is all right. Luna feels really touched by what Kakeru has done to her. Unfortunately, Kakeru is already in love with another woman, an astronaut named Himeko. After the battle of the senshi and the snow fairies, as a Christmas present, Usagi transforms Luna into a human for one night, and she flies with Kakeru into the sky so that they could see the earth and moon from above.
