Who is Chriscious ?
Frankly, it's hard to tell. But it is believed that the visage in
this stock photograph belongs to Chriscious. Most of what
surrounds him is legend. Old wive's tales say Chriscious lived in
isolation, never slept, listened to pulsating music, and had
magical powers. He supposedly had the power to entrance serpents,
to vanish without a trace, to take on the form of a cat, to turn
people into radishes, and to speak in strange, indescribable
tongues.
Historical documents are few and far between, but it is known that he was born in the area west of Old Richmond, the stately city by the James River, and the seat of the government of the Commonwealth of Virginia. But he was raised to the south of the city, in a rural area named after his Highness Prince Edward. His father taught history at the rural, all-male college named after anti-monarchists John Hampden and Algernon Sydney. His early years growing up at Hampden-Sydney College were quiet and insular... perfect for growing up. Yet, Chriscious was exposed to many ideas and cultures, and he ventured out of Hampden-Sydney when he attended university.
Chriscious's college years were spent in the historic town of Williamsburg, seat of the colonial government of Virginia. The Kings and Queens of England placed the Governor in Williamsburg up until the capital was moved to Richmond. Here lies America's second oldest institution of higher learning, The College of William and Mary, chartered by royal decree in the year sixteen and ninety-three. Chriscious dabbled in multiple disciplines at the college before deciding to procure his degree in the department of East Asian Studies. He lived in Reves Hall, and the dormitory of Old Dominion. Back issues of newspapers and various school publications attest to his activities as an undergraduate. He developed a vast network of friends, who can be traced around the globe.
Documents uncovered in the archives at the Japanese Ministry of Education prove that Chriscious ventured to Japan in nineteen and ninety-seven. He spent one year studying abroad at Kanazawa University in Ishikawa Prefecture Japan. Chriscious met many fascinating people, and traveled to many corners of the country during his tenure at Kanazawa. In a letter he wrote, "I have grown so much during my year here, and I'm afraid I've fallen even further in love with Japanese culture and history."
The later years of Chriscious's life are still a mystery. It is known that his sister married and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Leslie. It is known that he traveled quite a bit, returning to Japan shortly after his graduation from university. But beyond that, Chriscious's life is still a mystery and a topic of much scholarly research.
