Megumi comes from the
city Aizu. She was separated from her family a long time
ago. Her father worked
for Takeda Kanryu on the drug opium, but he died while
doing the work. Kanryu
made Megumi pick up where her father left off. She
managed to create
a new, more potent type of opium, but refused to give the
formula to Kanryu.
So she ran. Fortunately for her, she ran into Kenshin and
Sanosuke. She
nearly killed herself trying to keep her new-found friends
from being hurt.
She works as a doctor
with Dr. Genzai. She is also an exceptional cook and maker
of the famous cakes
everyone at the Dojo loves so much. Megumi is really a sad
soul, that is in desperate
need of someone to love. She finds some happiness
with
Kenshin and the others,
but deep down she wants more.
Megumi loves to tease
Kaoru, above all others. She knows how Kaoru feels about
Kenshin, but gets
both Kenshin and Kaoru in trouble by flirting! ^_^ She acts
like Kaoru's big sister,
more or less.
Needless to say, she likes Sanosuke, but will she ever say a thing? Nah. .
