*~All About Me~*

My name is Buu Linh Anna Le Ta. I am the offspring of two wonderful people, Minh Ta : My father (now deceased), and Thu Ha Le : My mother... both from Nha Trang, Viet Nam. I was born in the Philippines in the town of Bataan on the date of July 29, 1984. Two months after my birth, my family and i came to the U.S.A.  and settled in Little Falls, New Jersey. Through the years, my family has done a lot of moving...from Little Falls to towns like West Paterson, Clifton, Paterson, Rockaway (Dover), and now Wayne.

I enjoy many things in life as singing, dancing, writing poems, listening to music, martial arts and playing a lot of sports like volleyball, basketball, softball, fencing, archary, and soccer.

Since I came to America at a very young age...I didn't have any education in the Vietnamese language. Determined to learn the language at the age of 8...I did all that I could do to learn my native language. Since that same summer I was going to Viet Nam for vacation, my goal was to do everything in my power to learn the language. On my vacation, I asked my uncle to get me some books so that I could learn on my own. My uncle didn't believe that I could learn on my own...but he did proceed to get me the books that I needed and wanted.

When I came to the U.S., I started on my studies of the language. Also by listening to music helped me learn the language because I would memorize a song and read over the workds in the book. Then try to write the lyrics and check for mistakes. I've gotten better throught the years and now I'm very fluent in it. Right now I', also learning French and a little bit of Chinese. *~~ Wo Ai Ni ~~ Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ... ce soir?? ~~* hehehe jk.

In my spare time, I love to sing, dance, make up dances, write poems in both Vietnamese & English, attempt to wrtie music, do a lot of sports, play my clairnet or any other instument I can play, practice for color guard, and enjoy my life. Most of all, I love music. Singing and music is practically my life ever since i can remember. My parents were great singers...which really inspired me to look into the field of music. I can still remember the first time I sang on stage infront of a live audience. I as 8 years old, it was for a Vån Nghê. with the theme of "Thánh Tü* Ðao. VN & Quê Hu*o*ng" in Jersey City, New Jersey. I sang the song "Tôi Yêu Quê Tôi", a beautiful song about VN. After that, I participated in other shows with the church or a little Vietnamese group I was in (Nhó*m Tin Yêu). I did many traditional dances and sang a lot of religious or traditional songs. One of the most memorable songs I danced and sang to was "Tróng Co*m"...probably very popular now since ca sî Nhu* Qùynh sang it with Thanh Trúc and Shayla in Asia 12.

Once when I was 11 years old, I even participated in a karaoke contest and got honorable mention because i was the youngest contestant. I also got 2nd place in a school talent show singing the song "Làng Tôi" and "I Will Survive".

In 1998, I also did a project for the music department in my school. Since it was the year I was graduating from the 8th grade, I was able to perform a solo at my band recital. First, I played a solo song on my clarinet, then I sang the song "Khi Thanh Phô' Vå'ng Anh"...Viet lyrics by Khúc Lan and also added English lyrics by me.

Right now, I'm living in the town of Wayne, New Jersey. I'm attending Wayne Valley High School and participating in many activities as fencing, color guard, band, Emphasis (poetry / arts club), French Club, and All School Productions and musicals.
