Author's note: Haven't you thought that maybe Mamoru and Usagi felt distant when they saw each
other after a long time, after Mamo-chan was killed by Galaxia and Usagi with Seiya? In this fanfic,
Mamoru feels jealous about Seiya and distant with Usagi; and so, an entity tries to separate them.

Learning to Love you Again
As Mamoru walked to Usagi's house, he felt really strange. Since the Sailor Starlights
had left, everything had been calm. But still, he felt weird at times. Usagi 'knew' he had been
trapped by Sailor Galaxia, but she acted very distant. And that Seiya... He didn't liked him much.
He (or is it a she?) was rude sometimes, and was in love with his Usako. Rei and Ami had told
him that.
"We thought you should know..." said Rei. "But she never corresponded him..." added
Ami. Maybe because she felt trapped by her promise to him? She seemed so lonely and
different now. He knocked the door. Mrs. Tsukino opened the door.
- Oh, hi, Mamoru.
- Is Usagi home?
- No, she went out with Minako.
- Oh, well. Tell her I came to see her. Bye.
Mamoru turned around and left. Ikuko looked at him.
- Poor boy... He looks so sad.
He continued walking. Rain started.
- Great...
Nothing had been the same since he returned. All the time they had been separated, he
had been alone in another dimension. There he only remembered her. He knew she had thought of
him too, BUT also about Seiya. Seiya... He made him out of nerves. Thinking that he was too
close to her while he wasn't there... Mamoru stared at some TV sets in a store. Suddenly, he
saw Usagi and Minako in the screen, standing in a park, surrounded by reporters.
- Hey, I don't really... - It seemed they had caught her by surprise.
- Come on, you have been seen with Kou Seiya several times...
Usagi blushed.
- But I don't...
- Are you his girlfriend?
- No, I'm not...
Minako covered her.
- You should interview me, not her...
Usagi ran away, as Minako distracted the reporters.
- So those were the two blonde girls who used to spent a lot of time in company of the
Three Lights. And the odango-head girl seems to have had an special relationship with Seiya
Kou, so special that she can't bare to talk about it now he is gone... Well, now , about the new
idol group...
- That girl was surely Seiya's girlfriend.
Mamoru turned to see the one who has said that. It was a girl of long curly green hair.
- What makes you say so?
She turned, and blushed as she saw him.
- Well, I'm Sonoko, the president of the Three Lights fan club. I once played against
Seiya and her because of a bet. If they won, I had to accept their relationship. If I won,
they'll stop seeing each other. They won. (*)
Mamoru felt really jealous in that moment. He hadn't felt like that before. Not even
thinking of Demando or the tomboy Haruka. He turned and left. Sonoko's sight followed him.
- What a cute guy... - A shadow entered by her back. - I want him...

Mamoru sat in the park. He was really upset. He had never been a jealous man. But
now jealously was covering his heart. His Usako had betrayed him? Everything suggested that.
But she... She had loved him so devotedly. When they saw each other in the Marine Balcony...
"My love is greater than Universe." Did she answered that with something?
He suddenly saw two figures holding hands staring at the moon, some feet away from him.
For a moment he thought they were Seiya and Usagi... No, the girl had dark hair. It was
Setsuna... But who was at her side?
He knew him. "Mamoru!" said Setsuna noticing him. "Hi, Setsuna." The man turned.
"I guess you know each other..." "Hi." "Hello." "Well, I was leaving. Bye Setsuna-chan...I
mean, Miss Meiou." "Bye" Mamoru noticed a blush in Setsuna's face. She turned to him, and saw
some bitterness in his eyes. "Why are you with that mad face, Mamoru?" asked her. He didn't
answer. "Please tell me, maybe I can help." He hesitated but then decided to confess. "I'm
worried about Usagi... I don't know, since I returned, things haven't been as they were before.
Everything is different, she is so distant..." "Oh, come on, she loves you very much, and you
love her..." "So does Seiya..." "Oh, that's the problem... You are jealous..." "Setsuna..."
"Why don't you just go with her and tell her how are you feeling right now? It will make things
better." "I think you're right." "Of course I am... I have to go now. By the way, could you
please..." "Not tell anyone I saw you with him?" "Please, I mean..." "Ok, I won't tell."
"Thanks a lot. Bye!" Setsuna left.
Mamoru stood up determined. He had to go to speak with Usa. Sonoko appeared
at his back. Her eyes and hair were black now. She smiled and disappeared.

Usagi was in her room. She looked at the picture of herself, with Mamo-chan and
Chibi-Usa. Sonoko appeared in her window and turned into Seiya. He entered into Usa's room.
- Who is it? - She asked turning.
In front of her she found Seiya Kou, her friend.
- Seiya... What are you doing here? When did you returned?
- I need you, my beautiful odango...
Usagi blushed and gave a step back.
- Seiya, you know I love Mamo-chan...
Suddenly, Seiya trapped her in his arms. He gave her an evil smile. Ikuko (Mrs.Tsukino) entered.
- Usagi, Mamo-chan is... Usa!
Mamoru looked at them. Usagi turned to him.
- Mamo-chan, its not what it seems...
- Well, Usagi, have Seiya if you wish, bye!
He was really mad. Seiya turned into a shadow and left. But Ikuko didn't saw he had gone, as
she was looking at Mamoru leaving.
- Mamo-chan!
Usagi was stopped by her mother.
- You must have an explanation...
- I love Mamo-chan, Mom. Seiya and me are only friends... I love Mamo-chan even more
than myself...
Her mother smiled and let her go.
- Go then, don't let him go away...
Usagi ran.

Mamoru reached a park. The girl, Sonoko, stood in front of him.
- Endymion...
- You... I know you...
- Of course, you can't forget me...
- Mamo-chan.
He turned, and saw Usagi. As he turned back, the girl wasn't there anymore.
- Mamo-chan... - Usagi stood in front of him.
- Usagi, don't do this to me... If you and Seiya...
- There is no me and Seiya. I don't want him... I love you.
She threw her arms around him, and kissed. After a few moments he pushed her out slowly.
- But I saw you.
- He appeared of nowhere. Its like he had known...
Seiya appeared in the distance.
- Hey, Odango...
- Stop it, Seiya! - shouted Usagi.
- No! I love you, and you love me!
- No! My love is Mamo-chan... And you already have a princess to love!
Ans you are a kind-of weird guy!
- Weird? Why?
- Because of your transformation...
Seiya's face gave her a non understanding look. Usa turned to Mamo-chan hopefully.
- He isn't Seiya...
She turned to him.
- You know... Your transformation. The secret of the Three Lights... Transform!
- Transform?
- You don't know what I'm talking about because you aren't Seiya!
Seiya's face disappeared and in front of them was a beautiful black-haired girl.
- I know you...
- Endymion... - Her sweet expression changed as she saw Usagi.
- You.. You took him away of me... I suppose, my dear Endymion, that you haven't
remembered completely, haven't you?
- No... But your face...
- I'm Kiriko Gaea*, a princess of Earth... Your birth betrothed. At least, everyone
thought we were going to marry...
- Kiriko... You...
She smiled.

- I'll tell you, then. Long ago, I loved you much. But you didn't saw me as a woman,
but a little sister, Prince Endymion. One day one of the sailor Senshi came to Earth. I don't
remember whom. The main point is that she told you there was a Kingdom in the Moon. She never
discovered you didn't knew that from before...
You went to a sorceress, and she told you she could transport you to the Moon to see
that secret Kingdom. Meanwhile, a pity Princess saw you in a mirror. She felt in love with
you. Your father invited her and a companion to your palace as soon you told him how marvelous
was the kingdom. But the queen didn't trust us, so prohibited Earth people to come to the Moon
after that. Thouigh, you wanted to see Serenity again... So the sorceress transported you during
Serenity Celebration's day.
I reached the sorceress too late. You were gone. But I could see you... You walked on
the balcony and saw your princess. You loved her so much. I won't tell you all, you know what
happened. You danced and loved... but Beryl and Metallia killed you. But pity Queen Serenity
gave you new life, to love her again!
I was so hurt... I killed myself. But the sorceress made my spirit remain near the
lake of her house. I attacked people that lived in the surroundings. I fell in love again of a youth
of the town. He looked as you, that's why I loved him. But a goddess loved him. They trapped
me. My legend only remained as if that was the only story... Still, I was waiting in the lake, to be
free and be with you...
Usagi looked at her. "You are the..."
"Yes, I was the spirit that you once saw when the Dark kingdom attacked. I was kind-of
calmed then, because I saw you two, together, but not in love..." *

- You were Commander Endymion of the Dark Kingdom, then... - remembered Usagi.
- Yes. But then Endymion died again because of you... Later he was killed again, by
Galaxia, thinking of you! You made him die and suffer! I hate you! I couldn't find you, till I saw
the three shooting stars coming from Tokyo... Their energy was full of you... I discovered you
were here, so I found you... And I'll kill you at last!
- Stop, Gaea! Don't hurt her!
- She made you suffer! She does it even now! I hate her! Broken Heart Beam!
A dark ray almost hit Usagi. Mamoru took out a rose and transformed into Tuxedo Kamen. Usagi
raised her brooch.
- Moon Eternal Make-up!
She stood in her Eternal Sailor Moon suit. A rose fell in Gaea's feet.
- A rose, for me? I love you Endymion.
He got a "She's crazy..." look.
- I don't want to fight, really... But this hate is forcing me to... Double Broken
Heart Beam!
Tuxedo Kamen jumped in front of Sailor Moon and received the attack.
- Endymion!
- Mamo-chan!
She ran to him.
- Mamoru...
Gaea looked at them, spellbound.
- What have I done?
She started to cry.
- I need peace.
Sailor Venus appeared in the top of a tree.
- The Sailor Senshi of Love has arrived!
- Sailor Venus, of course... Give me peace... - asked Gaea.
Minako doubted for a minute.
- What?
- Attack me, I'm the enemy!
- Alright, if that's what you want... Venus Love and Beauty Shock!
A grey silhouette abandoned the green-haired girl's body. It smiled and looked at Usa and
Mamoru.
- Be happy...
She disappeared. Venus ran to the fainted green-haired girl.
- She's Sonoko of Juuban High School...
She opened her eyes.
- Is Seiya here?
- No...
- I had a strange dream... I was Seiya!
Usagi touched Mamo-chan's face.
- Answer me, Mamo-chan!
He opened his eyes.
- I'm ok, Usa...
- You are alive!
She hugged him.

Later, in the night, Usagi and Mamoru were walking by the Marine Balcony. They were in silence,
till Usagi broke it.
- Did you really thought I could betray you?
- Well... I'm sorry...
- It's Ok... At least your jealously proves me you still loved me...
- Do you doubt it? I was afraid you had stopped loving me while I was dead.
- I thought you had forgotten me... But, how could you think I had stopped loving you?
I love you more than anything in this world... You are my prince, Mamo-chan.
- And you are my princess, Usako... And some day, my queen, my wife...
- Yes...
They kissed, feeling the moonlight shining in their hearts. Gaea's face, in the sky, smiled and
vanished.

Final Note: Kind of strange, eh? Usagi and Mamoru had problem... A strange possibility in the
Anime... :)

2* Kiriko Gaea.- Kiriko means "mist girl" (like Kasumi) and Gaea is the Roman Goddess of Earth.
