9.7 meters |
Width : |
8.2 meters |
Height : |
16.8 meters |
Dry Weight : |
42.5 metric tons |
II. Type:
- Design: Esbeliben design bureau.
- Builder: Various manufacturers.
- Raigemo-Ultz: One
man aerospace fighter Zentraedi command mecha
III. Service Histroy:
- Served with all branches of the Zentraedi Imperial Forces
from 2051 onward.
III. Propulsion:
Thrusters:
- 2 x Varshtann Type-11 plasma shock expansion engine with vectorable exhaust. The thruster is
located on either side just above the cockpit and has a maximum output
of 544 kN.
- 4 x Varshtann Type-10 plasma shock expansion engine with two in the calves and two more on
the bottom of the feet. Each thruster has a maximum output of 96 kN. The
exhausts in the feet can generate a ground effect air cushion under the
mecha, enabling it to glide forward at low altitude if the terrain is
remarkably even.
- Assorted maneuvering thrusters, fed from the main engine, are spread out
over the mecha.
Generator
- 3 x X'terra miniaturized fusion-cell energizer providing electrical
power to the mecha. Total output, 2000 kW each.
Fuel Capacity:
- 26 Standard canisters of reaction mass
- 96.3 liters of graphite reactant for plasma engines.
IV. Performance:
Maximum running speed: |
308 kph |
Maximum jumping distance(*): |
275 meters |
Delta-v capacity: |
89.4 kps |
Typical acceleration(**) : |
3.0G |
Cell duration(***): |
100 hours |
* = Earth-normal conditions and without thrusters |
|
** = Assuming typical operational weight |
|
*** = Continuous operational use. |

V. Sensory Systems:
Radar tracking:
- Hyzan UWB phased array with spherical coverage, for various
scan/track, battlefield surveillance and counterbattery options.
- Hyzan IFF secondary surveillance transponder
Optical tracking:
- Bardaz multi-band digital camera system, for short range
traversable UV, infra-red imaging and optical band detection and tracking;
- Bardaz multi-frequency laser ranger and designator.
Tactical Electronic Warfare System (TEWS):
- Hyzan Radar Warning Receiver (RWR)
- Hyzan Infra-red Warning Receiver (IRWR)
- Y'terk Active sensor jammer
- Chaff and flare dispenser
VI. Armament:
Cannon:
- 1 x Makral Mossil 840 particle beam cannon: Mounted on top of the
mecha, this heavy
weapon, unique to the Raigemo-Ultz battlepod, can fire a particle beam with
a yield of up to 60 MJ with impressive accuracy. The cannons' recharge load
represents over 20% of the total power output of the mecha's energizers; and
even then it takes 10 seconds to replenish the capacitators. To offset this,
the cannon has a miniature cyclotron that can store enough accelerated
particles for five salvo's. As a result the system has a sustained rate of
fire is eight to nine rpm.
- 2 x Karatszon Quillo-28 particle beam cannons: Located in the arms are the main
particle cannons. Similar in configuration to the Tomahawk Battloid, these
cannons take up the entire arm, precluding the attachments of hands. They
are quite powerful capable of firing 32 MJ bursts every five seconds at full
power or 15 MJ bursts once every two seconds in automatic mode at ranges of
up to 20 km distant. Drawing power from the mecha's power system, the
particle beam has effectively unlimited ammunition.
- 2 x Makharz Vawnous-3 22.3mm autocannons chin mounted. Each cannon can rotate 100
degrees to the left and right and elevate from -130 degrees to +60 degrees.
The cannon fires caseless rounds AP or FRAG rounds at 850 rpm. The
ammunition supply is 800 rounds.
- 2 x Makharz Vawnous-5 55mm autocannons in the lower gun mounts of the arms. The
cannons fire but a single type of shell, a high-explosive squash head (HESH)
dual-purpose projectile, at a rate of fire of 500 rpm. The ammunition is a
caseless design, and the ammunition bins in each arm can contain 300 rounds.
Missiles:
- 2 x Glatrlan Diwhaug 14 Ilari Missile Launchers: Two
short range missile launchers are mounted on either side of the main body.
Each launcher holds 12 short range Illari missiles.
VII. Armor:
The armor of the Raigemo-Ultz is composed of an advanced tungsten-titanium
alloy. The armor stops all small arms and heavy infantry weapons fire, provides
good resistance to light mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Zentraedi 22.3mm HE
autocannon round, and fair resistance to medium mecha-mounted weaponry, such as
the 55mm APFSDS round, if the latter strikes perpendicular. Due to the sloping
armor, incoming fire has a higher chance of a glancing hit.
The Raigemo-Ultz provides full protection from nuclear, biological, and
chemical hazards, using a sealed cockpit environment. The internal consumables
supplies can provide atmosphere for four days maximum.
VIII. Development:
