RAOK  (Random Acts of Kindness)

The candles of life...what are the candles of life? what do we cherish
in our hearts if we were on our last breath of air?
It is love, encouragement, support, inspirations, and connectiveness
we received from others. The wisdom of Kindness.

It is "metta", a sanskrit word meaning "loving-kindness", an inner
wisdom that is not limited by space or time. It is something that can
not be destroy, it is within us and like candles, it can light up our darkness
and let us see with clarity and wisdom.

May every sentient beings find many beautiful candles along their
walk in life. May they be peaceful and take care of themselves happily.

K ~ ind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.

E ~ ach person you meet doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.

Y ~ ou cannot do a KINDNESS too soon, because you never know how soon it will be too late!

A beautiful book full of smiles! I got this from Shauna

    My Kindness experience...

This happened when I was in high school and it was something I still remember to this
day. As individuals, we all want to feel connected, to feel loved, we want to be liked, and we
all want to belong, it is even more so in youth. Imagine an afterschool badminton practice
in the gymnasium. All the team members are changed and the coach announces that we warm
up and do some stretches in pairs. Physically prep, I  walked over to my usually partner assuming
she would warm up with me. Unfortunately, she paired up with another partner instead. At this
moment, my heart flutters rapidly.  It was an embarrassing moment not to find someone to
work with, the longer the time of search, the more embarrass one becomes. I felt inadequate,
not good enough to be pick. In the end, there was an odd number so I was the leftover :(

I wanted to work with someone but nevertheless, we can only do what the conditions allow us
to do so I did the stretches myself. Then, not long, someone walked over and offered to be
my partner and we did the rest of the stretches together. It felt really good, I felt more comfort and
at ease after that. I wasn't the leftover anymore, someone was willing to be my partner and it was
a beautiful feeling that brighten all the insecure feelings I had earlier.

After that, each time we see each other in the hallway, we would wave or say "hello". It
was nice. Later on, he moved and we lost contact. I don't remember what he look like or even
his name but I do very much remember his kindness. Thank you for making my day bright that
year. It is this experience that I want to share with everyone, if we are able to help or make
someone feel good, no matter how little it may seem, just do it! It can be more valuable
than what you think. Cheers.. ^_ ~

   THANK YOU!!

I received the warmest welcome from RAOK members and I would like to Thank them

"The mind of a superior (being) is conversant with righteouness; the mind
of a mean (being) is conversant with gain. When we see (beings) of worth, we should think of
equalling them; when we see (beings) of contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine
ourselves."
