Last Update - 25 July 1999
In regard to many requests about re-setting up this section, at last I have enough time to make this difficult translation from my base language, Thai, to world' standard English.
I concede any grammar and vocabulary problems in this page, due to my lacking of English skills.
Welp, here we go.

Preparation

Firstly, some equipments and accessories you should have
 1. Drawing equipments, such as lead pencil, plain paper (80 gramms over recommended), soft and clean quality eraser, etc. As you know well.
 2. Your own PC (without PC, no CG) any spec you prefer but with some more extra RAMs would be fine (32M over RAM recommended) with mouse and keyboard.
 3. Adobe lisenced Photoshop program, any version (mine is 5.0) with some skills will help. (I'm not gonna teach you how to use photoshop, you must learn it yourself)
 4. Scanner (beg your neighbor to help you scan your lineart drawing if you don't have any)
 5. A great quality printer (optional for your output)

Step by Step

1. First step, after your idea came out, draft your picture (yourself !! I beg) on a clean paper. Yes, that's it. Don't be too delicate and hard.
2. Draw you key line guided by your draft line. Use any ink or pen you prefer. Make it a complete outline and digitize it with your (or your neighbor's) scanner. I recommend that you should scan your picture at least 100% of size and 200 for DPI. Welp, I just striped out Farewell's bra ^-^ Isn't this look better?

3. Prepare your selections before coloring. Use Photoshop's tool [Magic Wand] to make selections of any picture's part, prevent the overflowing of coloring to any other area your don't need. <Tip - 1. If you want to make many selection a time, try holding [Ctrl] button before clicking your [Magic Wand] to any other area. - 2. Try [Anti-alliased] mode and much more [Torelance] in [Magic Wand Option] - 3. After make your selections, try [Save Selection] from [Select] menu above in case of making something wrong ^ ^>
4. Coloring procedure, use [Airbrush Tool] Select your prefer color tone from [Forground Color] color palette. I prefer some pink in my woman's skin color (cutie ^ ^) Fill all your character's skin with light tone of skin color (easy easy, pal)

5. Darker skin color for shades and shadows. Use your individual [Sense of Coloring] (^ ^) I believe you know where for lights and where for shadows. <Tip - Try various % of [Pressure] in [Airbrush Option]>

6. After finished coloring character's skin, try other parts with same procedure. Hair, eyes, clothes, etc. <Tip - try various [Pressure]s, color tones and white color making your own technic of beautiful eyes, I can't teach you much ^ ^>
7. Here's an easy example for a way of eye's coloring. I used 3 color tones of green in this procedure. Try to discover and practice your own technics, that must be better.

8. We almost at the last step, after completed filling all colors, I used my [Paint Brush] tool writing word 'Milk' on that cup. <Tip - You can do many decoration manually just using simple tools like [Paint Brush] and [Air Brush]. Use your own sense of art>
9. After adding smoke above of Farewell's milk cup by using [Air Brush] tool, I'll assume that my little Farewell is now completed ^-^
10. After your character completed, find some proper background image for him/her. (for my CG's backgrounds, some I took myself and some I scanned from any other sources) <Tip - try some photoshop effect plugins, like [Grussian Blur] or other distortion effect for additional feeling of your background>
11. Merge your character with background (what a piece of cake step ^ ^) A cover image for my MP3 CD almost be done.
12. Decorate your CG with other accessories and plugins you prefer. Do your own creation !! Mastering your CG technics by practice them more and more. And don't forget to send me your completed works ^ ^
I know that my translation isn't much good but I think it's clear enough for a basic CG technics. Good luck, you guys.
