Sailor Moon is a typical main character for a Japanese animation. She is a clutzy and whiney character most of the time, but during an emergency she can pull herself together. She also has an amazing amount of potential power; however, for most of the show she only shows enough power to destroy the Monster-of-the-Day. When her friends are threatened she can usually tap this potential power and destroy whatever enemy is threatening her. Serena is very loyal, and is always friendly and outgoing. Serena also cares very much for her friends, even if she fights with a few of them constantly like Raye. Her best friend since childhood has been Molly, but basically any of the Inner Sailors are her best friends. She doesn't share the same kind of relationship with the Outer Sailors; she simply respects all of them very much (however, she does have a more affectionate relationship with Sailor Saturn). Her strongest relationships tend to be with the people who push her: both Luna and Raye are always yelling at her when she makes mistakes but Serena shares a deep friendship with both of them. It's amazing how Serena manages to survive after using up so much energy. When first powering up as Super and Eternal forms, she would destroy an enemy then collapse, returning to her pervious form.

Serena's Relationship with Darien: Serena has gone through hell over this love of Darien. At first she hated him, then Queen Beryl erased his memories and Serena was nearly killed by him. Then, Darien forgot their past and she tried to get him to remember. After that, Darien had a dream that explained if he was with Serena, she would die. So he "broke up" with her. After painful confrontations, they travelled to the future to find that Rini was their daughter. The relationship went pretty well through Sailor Moon S and SuperS, but at the beginning if Sailor Stars, he got hit with one of Nephrenia's mirror shards and fell under an eternal nightmare curse. Serena was emotionally drained, but she trudged on, saving Darien. Shortly after that, Darien left for America for a year or more. Before leaving, he gave Serena an engagement ring. At the beginning of numerous shows, Serena wrote letters to Darien only to find out that he didn't make it to America. His plane had been hit by Galaxia and he was killed. Without Tuxedo Mask showing up to save her from pickles, Sailor Moon nearly lost several battles. But after defeating Chaos, Darien returned. They kissed under a silver moon.
