A Brief Summary : Eleven year old Kurata Sana is the star of Zenjirou's Kodomo no Omocha show (AND the real show Kodomo no Omocha ^_^). She is an extremly hyper girl with an unusually positive additude When she is transfered into a different class where they boys rule the class making the teacher cry she doesn't know what to do. All she knows is she's isn't going to sit there and so nothing. Hayama Akito is an emotionally disturbed (no he doesn't go around killing people...even though that's what I made it sound like ^_^;;) boy who controls the boys who destroys the classroom everyday. Sana and Hayama fight each other constantly. What starts out as a humorus battle ends up being an interesting love triangle (I'm a sucker for those...unless they are on Melrose Place...man those chicks can be VICIOUS!!!!) This is a story about how children deal with their family life, growing up, and falling in love. This is actually very serious but has some much crazy humor that you don't truly notice. Except with that whole Hayama thing. That was sad. I cried the first (and second and third) time I saw that *sniff* I don't anymore though. Kodomo no Omocha is better known as Child's Toy or KoDoCha. Actually not that many people know what it is. I just recently found out what it was. Kodomo no Omocha is a manga by Miho (kind of like Key the Metal Idol ^_^) Obana which started 8/94 and finished 11/98 and was published by Ribon Magazine. The manga currently has 9 volumes out. Sugoi ne? Kodomo no Omocha is a shoujo anime that is 102 episodes long. Kodocha Anime has subtitled 20 episodes so far. Actually GeoFront has subtitled 4 of those 20. ^_^ The anime first aired April of 1996 and it ended March of 1998. Many people have refered Kodomo no Omocha to "Marmalade Boy on crack" or LSD or Acid. Well, I really disagree with that. I've watched it and it's really not a like. *shrugs* Anyway, you can go to my Marmalade Boy page soon. ^_^ Anyway, KoDaCha is really crazy. I really admire Sana-chan's voice seiyuu. I don't know too many people who can spit out a hundred words per minute ^_^; Hmmm, I think that that's about all the background information ^_^ I've heard people complain about the art in KoDaCha *gasps* How could they? The eyes are very detailed, which is nice. It's like in Utena their eyes have very little detail *shrugs* It varies. Also people complain about they stupid jokes and how fast Sana talks. I, for one, don't mind. I've been reading subtitles for 4 years now. I can read pretty fast. I also missed some things because she talks fast. ^_^; It's okay though. The soundtrack is cute. There are two of them (to my knowledge) One is a bunch of background type music and the other is actual songs. The first one has the opening and ending theme song for the first season in TV format. I give this series a 5 out of 5. It's a really great series. It really portrays growing up well (just like Mizuir Jidai aka Aqua Age or Blue Green Years) I would reccomend this highly for a true anime fan. I do NOT reccomend this for a person who has just started watching anime because they wouldn't be able to really apreciate the jokes and such. That's from MY personal experiance. There are some anime's I shouldn't have seen a couple years back because things I didn't think were funny then are funny now. NO my humor didn't change, I just apreciate it more ^_^ Anyway, I'll get off my soap box now *smiles* |

Mostly called Sana-chan. -Hayama Akito: Everyone refers to him as "Hayama" which is his last name. I think it sounds better than Akito....well sometimes. ^_^; -Sagami Rei: Sana-chan's boyfriend, lover, manager, and pimp. Yes pimp, and trust me...it's not MY definition of pimp ^_^ -Ohki/Sasaki Tsuyoshi: Sana and Hayama's friend. -Kurata Mariko: Sana-chan's Mama. Mostly refered to as Mama or Kurata-sensei. -Maro-chan: The squirrel that lives on Kurata-sensei's head ^_^ -Babbit: A mix of a bat and a rabbit. Hence the name Babbit. ^_^ |
