I found this booklet of erotic paintings in Beijing and it was one of my earliest

introductions to Chinese erotic art. There are nine paintings in the booklet, depicting

various positions. The signature on it states that it was made in the year of Emperor Gaozhong's

reign. Gaozhong reigned in the Tang dynasty from 649 to 683.

While it certainly looks old, it is unlikely to be that old. I have yet to find out exactly

how old it is though.
