Ahh! My Goddess

(****)- This is about a boy named Keiichi who accidentally calls the "Goddess Hotline" while trying to order fast food and a real life goddess comes to grant him one wish.  His wish is that Belldendy (the goddess) would be his girlfriend.  The wish is granted and the story goes on from there...

DNA^2:
(***1/2)- I actually expected more out of this series.  Its a story about a future cop coming back to the present to stop a "mega-playboy" from causing a population problem in the future by shooting him with a DNA altering bullet.  The problem is that she shot him with the bullet that turns him into the Mega-playboy...
Type:    Shojo, that is funny and some action.
Length:   15 episodes.

Dragon Ball:
(***)- Not exactly your, BEST in the world anime series, but I saw this anime because my friend was into it.  Though it suffers from what is called, "Dragon Ball Syndrome" where the main character is the only one to beat up the bad guy.
Type:  Shonen, Action more action and did I mention action.
Length:  Too long to say.
Availability: Pioneer killed it by showing it in English.

Fatal Fury:
(****)- One of the best known fighting games turned anime.  Terry Bogart is the one of the strongest fighters and he must use his skills for fighting.  Trust me it's good.
Type:  Shonen

Fushigi Yugi:
(*****)- I actually didn't want to see this but my girlfriend made me.  I wasn't all excited about the experience but...(My girlfriend is gunna kick my ass if I didn't put 5 stars)  Miaka and her friend Yui who are sent into the book, Shijin Tenchi Sho-The Universe of the Four Gods (Which is like old China, although everyone speaks Japanese).  And she becomes the Suzaku no Miko, Priestess of the southern region, and must gather her Shichi Seishi (Seven Star Warriors) to call on the power of Suzaku to grant her three wishes so she can go home....
Type: Definitely Shojo, it is funny with action and lots of emotion.
Length:  52 episodes, 7(?) OAVs.
Availability: Commercially Released you gotta wait.  They are on episode 12.

Gundam 0083, 0080, X, Wing
(***)-  Well probably one of the best known Mecha anime.  Various series have different story lines.  Good animation and stories for 0080 and 0083.  Check it out!

Kimagure Orange Road
(*****)- Kasuga Kyoske is a high school student that falls in love with a girl named Madaoka Ayukawa at first sight.  The trouble is that her friend Hikaru likes him very much and is a little more open about it.  Kasuga loves Madaoka very much, but he doesn't want to hurt Hikaru and neither does Madaoka.  The story goes on about how they go about their lives.  The cool thing is that it is from the guys perspective!
Type:  Shonen, I think that guys will like it too.
Length:  52 TV, 4 OAVs, 2 movies
Availability:  TV series is being brought out now, the OVA and the movies are already out.

Koko wa Greenwood
(****)- This show is super funny.  Its characters are all original and humorous.  I won't say much because it seems to be bunch of stories put together than a series.
Type:  Both will like it but it leans more toward Shojo
Length:  6 OAVs
Availability:  Commercially available.

Macross II
(***)- One of the best known mecha series starting on ROBOTECH.  Good story.  It is set 50 years after the MACROSS (ROBOTECH) series. The UN Spacy is attacked by the Marduk and their song technique that beats the UN Spacy's.  Great animation.
Type:  Shonen
Length:  6 OAVs
Availability:  Commercially available

Martian Successor Nadesico:
(****)- I really liked this series.  It has really good story line.  It is set in the near future and we are attacked by aliens.  The Nadesico is sent out to save the colony on Mars but finds a horrible secret about the aliens, and some commonalties.  Now they are to decide where their loyalties lie...
Type:  Actually half/half , no not hentai, both sexes will enjoy this series.  Its got a lot of action and     emotion, plus its funny.  Not to mention a spoof of Evangelion.
Length: 26 episodes and a movie.
Availability:  Gotta wait on this one too.  ADV. is bringing it out here soon.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (ahh, something I CAN get)
(***1/2)- The series starts where a young boy (Shinji Ikari) is sent for, by his father.  To his surprise, he was sent for to pilot Mecha against enemies know as Angels.  The series has a much deeper feeling while watching.  It's main delight is it's action but it shifts to the 3 pilots mental states near the end and the end is well, well, well.....uh...intresting.  Anyhow, you gotta see the movies for the REAL ending.
Type:  Shonen, Action...uh...Action with a little comedy that's about it.
Length:  26 episodes with 3 movies.
Availability:  Whole series out by ADV.  The movies will be brought out commercially by.

Ranma 1/2
(***)- This is a martial arts comedy where the main character Ranma Saotome falls into a spring that turns him into a girl whenever he gets splashed with cold water.  There are a lot of other characters similar to this in the series.  Anyway, the is promised ,by his father, to marry Akane Tendo and carry on the Tendo dojo.  The story is very long.
Type:  Both will like it.
Length: Plenty TV, 2 movies

Record of Lodoss War
(****)-  This story takes place on the island of Lodoss.  The marmo forces are trying to resurrect the god Cardis the destroyer.  The most AWESOME Fantasy genre anime I've seen.  It kicks major ass.

Roruni Kenshin:
(****)- This is a story about a samurai that was a very important in the reformation of Japan to the Meji Restoration.  He carries around a "Sakaba-to" or a Katana with the blade on the inside curve of the sword (in other words an inverted sword) making it hard to wield it in a lethal fashion.  This animation is action packed and really good if you like samurai animation.
Type:  Shonen anime, lots of action, goes from funny to serious on a fly.
Length:   About 90+ episodes with a movie.
Availability:  Gotta get it fan subbed.

Sailor Moon
(**1/2)- No comment.  Well, I've seen it and can see why some people might like it but I just think it sucks.  See for yourself if you like it.  Just don't blame me if you don't.

Slayers
(***1/2)- Overall, I wasn't too impressed.  The comedy was a nice touch but it didn't compare to Lodoss War, but I guess that's comparing Apples and IBMs(heh,heh).  Its about a fighter/mage that's name is Lina Inverse.  She likes money and food.  There are many different story lines to this series so I can't just summarize it all.
Type: Shonen, the main character is a girl and she kicks ass a lot so both audiences will like it.
Length:  Plenty
Availability:  Commercially available, but there are still a lot that hasn't been brought out yet.

Tenchi Muyo!!
(****)- Tenchi is a normal japanese student that gets mixed up with many notorious space girls.  The thing is that they all like him and they all live with him.  Well, this takes them all on many adventures...
Type: Shonen, I liked it.
