Chapter 4

Four down, and four more to go.  Half way?  
Damn where does the time go?
I plan to get this story pounded out by the end
of the summer or at most the year
>From the messages I’ve received I plan to keep writing for a long time
even if it isn’t A World Twisted.  Oh shit!  I need to finish 
Saga Continues don’t I?

EVA: A World Twisted
Chapter 3
Twisted Battle

| Early morning in Tokyo-3 | 

Kensuke open his eyes.  Sitting up he put his glasses on.  
Glancing around the room he saw a collection of models guns
Usually this was the focus of his attention.  However in more recent
days the focus of his attention was a gold framed picture.  
The picture was of a young girl with natural tan and golden hair
 A smile crossed Kensuke "Myna"

It has been two weeks since the party at Misato’s
While they all walked away virgins the party, did
do one thing.  It cement feeling in certainty.  Kensuke had
been attracted to Myna from they day they met, but he wasn’t sure
if the feelings were mutual.  Kensuke was surprised when he woke
up in Misato’s apartment to find Myna snuggled next to him
 It was after that,  Kensuke knew Myna felt the same way.

In the background the radio had stopped music for a news break
"In international news, another tremor has been detected on the 
Western Sea-board of the United States.  Some scientists
had theorized that the source is the now deserted New York-2"
Kensuke’s mind wondered at the news

He finished dressing into his military style outfit.
The doorbell rang.  Since Kensuke was the only one
home he was the one to answer it.  Kensuke was more than
happy to be alone when he saw the visitor was Myna.

Myna greeted him with a long kiss
"Hello Kensuke." Myna said sweetly

"Morning Myna" Kensuke said with a smile

"Ready to go?"

"Sure we don’t have time for anything?" asked Kensuke

"We’ll be late.  Besides don’t you know the best
thing is life are worth waiting for?" said Myna innocently

"Does that include you?"

"What do you think?"

The couple walked out of the apartment complex
heading for the park, there they would meet the others
Kensuke and Myna were different from the others
They were playful with each other like the others but
they didn’t talk sex often.  Asuka, Anthony and the others
 couples were often talked sexually explicit ideas.

The sun was shinning high when Kensuke and Myna reached the park
Toji, Hikari, Anthony and Asuka were waiting.
All of them dressed in their typical fashion
Toji was in his black work out clothes
Asuka wore her favorite yellow dress
Hikari was in a blue dress similar to her school outfit
Anthony wore his typical blue jeans and black T-shirt,
with his gothic-style cross hung around his neck 

"Hey guys" called Kensuke

"Aida, What’s up man?" asked Anthony

"Nothing more that usual."

"Where are Shinji and Rei?" asked Myna

"Rei was late so Shinji went to get her" said  Toji

"Opportunists" muttered Anthony

Just then the young couple in question came running up.

"About time guys!" shouted Anthony

"Sorry." apologized Rei

‘Yeah, right.  I’ll bet you  two planned it" accused Asuka

"We weren’t gone long enough to do anything" protested Rei

"What about the supply closet two weeks ago?
You sure didn’t have long then either" asked Anthony

The couple turned red with embarrassment

"Come on!  It’s 10:00am now, we have Eva tests at 3:00 so what
do we do until then?" asked Hikari

"Park? Mall? Arcade?" suggested Karou

"Empty apartment?" said Shinji

"Baka Hentai" shouted Asuka

"Like you weren’t thinking the same thing" challenged Shinji

"Enough!" called Anthony

"Let’s hit the arcade" suggested Myna

Since no one could think of a better idea and since no one knew
of an empty apartment they went to the arcade.

While on the way there Kensuke fell into step beside Anthony

"I need to ask you something" he said

"Anything you want pal" said Anthony

"It’s about your home town"

Anthony’s smile faltered at the mention of a place
that brought many unhappy memories
But Kensuke was his friend and wouldn’t ask anything
too painful.

"As long as it isn’t about NERV HQ there.
I’ll answer it"

"Well, I wouldn’t ask but I’ve heard about it on the
news I really have got to know.  Did the tremors happen before?
You know, while you were there?"

"Tremors?  What tremors?"

"You haven’t heard?  Ever since the S2 explosion there have been
seismic tremors originating from New York-2"

"How?  That area is one of the most geologically stable areas around!"

"Then the explosion must have done some damage to the earth 
causing the tremors"

"Kensuke.  Have there been any earthquakes?" asked Anthony

"No scientist just keep detecting seismic vibrations.  
Not even the nearby cities can feel them, just the
town on the outskirts of the city"

"I don’t know Kensuke.  I guess that fucking explosion 
did something to the ground."

"Hey!  You two!" shouted Asuka
‘Get your asses in gear!"

The place was practically empty

"Wow, no one here" said Myna

"Come on, we have lots of goofing off to do" said Toji

Our heroes began to whittle away the day
Morning turned to noon

Anthony was wailing away at a pinball
machine called Black Hole
He was doing pretty good too

"Hey Anthony!" called Asuka

Anthony looked up at Asuka.  In doing so
the ball got past him

"Aw shit.  That was my last ball" he muttered

‘Anthony get over here" shouted Asuka

"OK, OK, so what the hell is so important." he asked

‘Shh, look at Rei" Asuka said
she pointed to the rest of their team crowded around
a game called Monster Fighter.
A game where your player must fight through five different
levels of monsters with a sword.

"Wow, she’s good" said Anthony

"She is excellent with a joystick, must be all the
practice with Shinji" commented Karou

"Shove it Nagisa" said Shinji as he turned red

"Shut up you guys, Rei’s at the final boss" said Hikari

On the screen Rei’s character had just put the finishing touches
on a were-wolf like monster

‘You did it" shouted Myna excitedly

"Not yet," said Toji as he pointed to the screen

It read /SECRET FINAL BOSS/
ground rumbled an a huge beast pulled it self out of the ground
"Damn it’s huge" said Karou

"It is impressive" said Asuka "Isn’t it Anthony?"
Asuka turned to her boyfriend
She was taken back by the look on his face

Anthony’s face was pale with a look of realization
his eyes showed pure fear.

"Anthony?  Anthony are you all right?" Asuka asked 
her voiced filled with worry.

"Huh?  Oh, yeah Asuka I’m fine" he said shaking his head
as if shaking off sleep.

"You sure?" she asked again still worried

Anthony kissed her on the cheek

"Yes, I’m fine" he said soothingly

Asuka smiled 
"Good, I was worried for a second."

"Don’t worry, darling I...."

The rest of his sentence was cut off be an alarm not heard for 
many months

The pilots looked at each other
 "Angel" whispered Hikari

"Let’s get moving" shouted Anthony.

The team ran from the arcade to NERV HQ

 though Rei glumly


NERV CENTRAL

"The Angel appeared about ten minutes ago" reported Hyuga

"Give us a visual" ordered Misato

The monitor hummed to life to
show a powerfully built Angel

It resemble the Third Angel except
the arms were more human-like the legs were
thicker and tentacle like appendages were on the back.

"That. Is one nasty looking Angel" muttered Toji.

‘So what’s the plan?" asked Kensuke

"Units 01, 04, and 03 will be the main offensive
Units 00, 02,and 05 will cover them with rifles"
said Misato

"Which pilots will be going into action" asked Rei

Units 01, 02 and 04  will have their designated pilots
I want Hikari in Unit-03, Kensuke in Unit-05
and Myna in Unit-00"

"Time to kick Angel ass!" said Shinji

"Time to slice and dice" said Anthony

When launch Evas 01, 03 and 04 stood ready
each armed with a different blade weapon
Shinji had the battle ax
Anthony was armed with a long sword
Hikari had a spear. (The one Asuka used in ep. 9)

"So how do we do this?" asked Anthony
"Any ideas?"

"I got one" said Kensuke

"Kensuke. I’M the tactician here" said Misato annoyed

"Calm down Misato.  Let’s here what he has to say" aid Rei

‘Shinji, you and Anthony literally disarm the Angel
then Hikari finishes it off.  While we provide cover fire."

"Sounds good.  Lets do it!" said  Myna

Shinji and Anthony moved around to the side of the Angel,
while Myna and the other provided cover fire
The Angel seemed unaffected by the rife shots and
kept advancing slowly. Eva 01 and 04 moved next to the
Angel.  When it’s arms lashed out the Evas swung the weapons
in an arc, neatly slicing both it’s arms off.  but they missed the tentacles
that lashed out wrapping around the Evas throats, strangling them
Unit-01 and Unit-04 collapsed to the ground  The Eva’s hands
tried to pull the coils off to their necks as the pilots inside
trying to fight the strangulation but the grip was stronger than steel

"HIKARI! NOW!" shouted Asuka

Eva-03 hurled it’s spear catching the Angel right in the 
core.  It’s grip was released immediately.  It backed up a few steps
before exploding, causing only minor damage to Evas 01, 04

"Congratulations guy," said Misato when the returned
‘You did great!"

"Thanks Misato but I think your job is in danger." said Anthony

"After today, Kensuke might be made head tactician!" joked Karou

‘I would never dream of putting Misato out of a job" said Kensuke
"But if she wants to go over plans with me, say late one night at her place,
who am I to refuse."

"Excuse me?" asked Misato

‘Kensuke!  Leaving me for an older woman" said Myna jokingly
she put an emphasis on older

"Excuse me?" said Misato again
This time directed at Myna

"See it’s true Misato hits on everyone" said Karou

"Excuse me?" asked Misato again

‘I knew she had a thing for younger men." said Rei

"That’s why she took me home in the first place" said Shinji

"THAT’S ENOUGH OF TEASE MISATO!" shouted Misato
flames shooting from out the back of her head

Commander Ikari spoke
"Congratulations Team Eva,  You did an excellent job."

The pilots looked stunned
Anthony whispered to Asuka

"Who is this guy and what did he do with the real
Commander Ikari?"

‘Do you really care?" asked Asuka

"Not really"

Commander Ikari continued
"Our research has shown it will be three months
before the next attack.  I feel this is a perfect time
to reward your vigilance for the past year.

There for I’m am sending you on a two week vacation
on the cruise ship Eden.
The nine of you , along with Major Katsuragi, Dr Akagi
Agent Kaji and the Three Lts, there will be bound for
New Los Angeles.  However while there you must   
retrieve Evas 06-09 which have been completed 
and are in storage there."

"I finally get my own Eva!" exclaimed Kensuke

"I love cuirasses" said Hikari

"Me too, there so romantic" said Myna

"Perfect time to make up for that bust of a party"
said Asuka ‘Right Anthony"

"Defiantly" said Anthony

"Hey Anthony, now you can show us
the American night life" said Karou

"Night-life?  You want night-life "Well my friend 
New LA has got the best in the States!"
Anthony said  with enthusiasm he didn’t have.

Later in Commander Ikari’s Office

‘So you’re really going to do it" asked Fuyutisuki

"We must!" said Ikari

"That thing today.  It wasn’t an Angel was it?"

‘A creation of Dr. Aista, the head of C-project"

"Dr.  Aista is in charge?"

"Yes, the Doctor is more trust worthy that DR Akagi.

You realize the children will most likely become sexually active
during this trip."

"Let them.  It doesn’t matter anymore we have what we need.
Actually I hope they do.  They deserve that much before it happens"

‘What of the tremors beneath the site?"

"I’ve been assured by DR Aista it is only a cover story
to prevent anyone snooping around the project"

"They actually  have detected tremors"  



"It is nothing to worry about
Possibly damage done by the S2 explosion  The area will remain stable
until we’re done  There are no problems"

Ikari smiled



[At Misato’s apartment ]

Anthony was alone in his room looking at the stars



Anthony walked over to his dresser.  On it was his lightsaber
and gothic style cross, both links to his past
The lightsaber created for him by his adoptive father
The gothic cross found around his neck on the
day his natural parents died
Opening his dresser’s bottom drawer, he reached
into the very back and brought out an old journal
it read

S-Project
Head Scientists
Dr. Joseph Draven
Dr. Michael Serwan

He looked at the old notebook, he’d found among his parents possessions
He never shown any one the book, not even Shinji or Asuka


His very soul was chilled by the next thought



End Chapter 4

Wow, that was scary.  Ikari seems to have a plan to take
place in America, at the same time he seems unaware of
the terrible secret sleeping beneath NY-2.  OK now we 
lay the ground work for the darkness and the action
What is Ikari planning?
What secret lies beneath NY-2?
To find out turn in next time

Actually you’ll have to wait longer
than next time.  Chapter five is a comedic chapter
with a lemon scene
I will put a non-lemon scene up too so you
anti-lemon people out there don’t worry
