Chapter 7
Lucky seven or is it?  Well, the children are on their way to the source
of pain for Anthony Draven many secrets will be reveal 
What is C-Project, what is S-project who is Solanos?
This series is almost over. Then what do I do?
I start my project SDAT Clash or I might do a short series until
Jayson is finished with What the hell happened to Evangelion
or I might devote all my time to Saga Continues I have an unlimited possibilities
From all the E-mails I’ve gotten I don’t plan to stop writing for a long time
It seems people like Anthony Draven, they like the Jedi Influence, the biggest 
complaint is that Shinji and Asuka aren’t together maybe in my next series I’ll use more
Jedi influence AND put Asuka and Shinji together
Satisfied  guys?  If not then what the hell do you want to see?

EVA A World Twisted 
Chapter 7
Twisted Conflict

The sun burned red as it rose over the Eastern horizon.
The fiery light gave an eerie look to the graveyard

In font of a row of four gravestone a lone figure stood
His eyes’ moving among the four names on the stones

At the gate a group of people watch the lone figure
one red-haired figure looked especially worried
Behind them was a comfort bus, the type with 
plush seats, a bathroom and TVs to watch movies.
Often used by people going on long trips


The lone figure whispered to the graves

“It’s me, I’m back.  I know.  It’s been a long time since I was last
here.  It may be even longer till I come again.  I wanted to say, that
my life is finally on the rise.  I’ve made a lot of good friends I’ve
got confidence, I’ve been called a hero.”
 He paused only to wipe the tears from his eyes
“Most importantly I’ve met a girl, that I love and who loves
me.”
His eyes locked on the two center headstones
“What were you two involved in?  What did you do?
I’ve read the journal and I can’t believe it.  I’m worried it may be
waking up.  Heaven help us if it does, because I don’t know if even the
Evas can stop it.  Mom, Dad, Dr. Serwan, Mrs. Serwan for now and for a long
time.  Rest in peace and goodbye.”

The lone figure turned from the grave sites and headed back to his friends
The red haired girl ran up to kiss him

She asked, “Are you ready?”

He responded “Yes, my love, let’s go to NY-2”

The team of ten boarded the bus
Misato drove the bus 
(Yes she drives a bus the same way she does her car)
Each of the couple sat together Karou sat alone 
near Misato.  The bus ride was quiet save for the whispering of the
couples among themselves

“Toji?” whispered Hikari
“Why are we doing this”

“I want to see exactly where my Eva was created.  Besides
Anthony’s our friend.  I think we should be here for him”
replied Toji

“But Asuka said he wanted to do this alone”

“That place hold too many bad memories for him
Even if he was a Jedi I doubt he could handle it alone.”

Kensuke turned to Myna
“Do you feel as uneasy about this as I do?”

Myna looked around the bus
“Uneasiness seems to be a common emotion”
she said

Shinji was gazing out the window lost in thought

Rei turned to him

“Penny for your thoughts” she asked

Shinji turned to the blue haired girl
“I don’t know Rei.  I’m worried and I don’t know why”
Shinji held up his lightsaber.  Looking at he said
“I wish I was a Jedi, then maybe I’d understand my own nervousness”

Asuka was watching her boyfriend stare into space.
Lost in her own thought



Asuka turned her head to look around the bus.
She felt to arms wrap around her shoulders.
Anthony pulled her close to him and whispered



“I may have been wrong.  Facing my parents graves was harder than I thought.
I may need you in NY-2”

Asuka smiled
“That’s why I came”

Anthony looked his girlfriend in the eyes
he said
“You know, the past year has been the greatest every.  These
past few months have been the happiest time of my life.  Mostly
because you’ve been in it.  Everytime I turn around
I think of how much you mean to me.  I’m still realizing how much I love you
and how much I need you”

Asuka laid her head on Anthony’s shoulder
she whispered
“I need you too.  You’ve been through the same things I have
You saw you natural parents die, and your adoptive father shut 
you out after his wife died.  We have a shared pain, maybe that
part of what attracted me to you in the first place.

Anthony smiled
“And here I thought you like the size of my lightsaber”

“Somebody get me some insulin”  

The author looked up from his screen to see his Obi-wan Kenobi figure talking again

“You still bitching and moaning old man?” asked the author

“This is pathetic”  said Obi-wan

‘Look Ben! I’m getting pissed off!”

“Get used to it.  I’m not going any where!”

“Yeah?  Here boy,  Over here” said the author

Suddenly a Rancor figure walked onto the desk pick up the Kenobi figure

“Huh, What? Nooooo” screamed Ben as the Rancor chewed and swallowed

“Thanks.  Hey!  Don’t eat my keyboard!  If you’re still hungry go eat the Jawas”
 With that the Rancor walked off the desk
The author looked at his screen then realizing what just happened

< I have got to get more sleep, and maybe a girlfriend>

Misato spoke up
She said gravely “We’re here”

Everyone’s attention was out the windows

This truly was a dead city.  The buildings were charred and in ruins
Rumble was thrown all over the streets
There was no sigh of life, not even a stray rat running the streets
It’s as if lesser creatures instinctively knew to stay away from this place

Shinji inhaled sharply this was the city from his dream
His body shuddered as the memory of the nightmare and of his mother’s message
“Beware the Blood swords, beware Solanos”

The bus moved through the ruined city
until Anthony shouted
“MISATO  STOP!” Misato slammed on the brakes
They stopping in front of a small house
that seemed unaffected by the damage of the area

“What is this place?” asked Karou

Anthony responded “My old home”

The group got off the bus 
Anthony walked up to the door
His hand shaking as he turned the handle
The door swung open

“Everyone, please come,” Anthony said

They walked into the house.  Asuka was clamped onto 
Anthony’s arm refusing to let go.
The tears flowed freely from Anthony’s eyes as he
wondered around the house

Anthony gestured around the house
“Please look around, everyone.  Take anything
that looks important or that you may want.
Anthony said, his throat as dry as a desert.
Curiosity got the best of the pilots, they broke up to explore the house
Anthony moved slowly through the house, Asuka still hanging on his arm

“What’s up there?’ she asked pointing up a flight of stairs with a door
at the top

Anthony’s response came as a terrified whisper “My room”

He placed his foot on he first step and began to walk up
Asuka pulled him back
“You sure you want to do this?”

“I have to Asuka.” he said

Slowly they climbed the stairs.  With every step Anthony was hit with
painful memories.  All the times he had climbed these stairs before
feeling helpless and useless, like no one cared about him.
Anthony would realize later that the only thing that made this climb into the
heart of his past and his pain bearable was the young red-haired
maiden hanging on to his arm

Upon reaching the door Anthony threw it open after only a moment’s hesitation
The memories hit him like a fist.  He crumpled to the ground, remembering all the times
he cried himself to sleep, all the time he just sat there feeling like he was helpless
to change anything.  His life had no value, why shouldn’t the just die.  
The tears poured down his face forcing wet spots on the floor

Asuka watched.  She understood what he was going through  It was the same thing
she had gone through during the attack of the 15th Angel.  Force fed painful
memories.  Asuka had almost no memories of the weeks she spent in a comma. She did
have a vague memory of looking next to her bed, and seeing Anthony sitting there with 
tears running down his cheeks.

Asuka bent down to comfort the crumpled form that was
Anthony Draven
Suddenly Anthony stood up, embraced Asuka and kissed her
Asuka was surprised but didn’t back away.  They stood like that
for a long time.  When they did break

“Sorry, but I needed to remind myself of the best thing in my life” said Anthony

Asuka smiled ’’Baka,  Since when to you need an excuse to kiss me?”

Suddenly a shout broke the silence

“Anthony, Asuka come here quickly”

“That’s Shinji!” exclaimed Asuka

[ NERV HQ U.S. BRANCH ]

“So these are the new Evas” commented Kaji
as he looked at the four large robots

Eva-06 was orange color, like the old proto-type
basic body, with a head similar to the real Eva-05

Eva-07 was dark green with a head like Unit-02
but two eyes, not four

Eva-08 was golden color. the head like Unit-02 
but six eyes

Eva-09 was reddish brown. The head was like Unit 03
except for a third eye in the middle of the head

Kaji was looking over the new arrivals when  out of the corner
of his eye, he noticed a familiar red arm
He turned to Ritsuko

“What are they doing here” he asked 
Gesturing to Eva-00 Eva-01 Eva-02 Eva-03
Eva-04 and Eva-05 which were in cages opposite the new ones


“They are to so we can install S2 batteries in them.  We also 
must do synch test with them and the new Eva’s”
answered Ritsuko

“You’re going to install S2 batteries in them?”

“Already done” said Ritsuko
“Now we just need to test them.  Tomorrow a test
is scheduled”

“Was this Ikari’s plan?  Is this why he sent us on 
‘vacation’? “  asked Kaji

“We can’t afford to have Eva’s going berserk in Tokyo-3”

“You mean when they’re not fighting an Angel”


[Back in NY-2]

Asuka and Anthony entered the room that was the source of the shout
They entered a room that seems converted into a make shift lab

‘This is Dr. Serwan’s lab!” exclaimed Anthony

“Did he do work for NERV here?” asked Karou

“No, he work on his hobby here.” said Anthony
he gestured around the room.
Models of X-wings, Tie fighters, Naboo Fighters
were scattered all over the room.  Even a glass 
case with Darth Vader’s costume

“Shinji this is where our lightsabers were made” said Anthony

“I though you made my lightsaber” said Shinji

“I just added the grip and the focusing jewel.  The circuitry was 
assembled here.”  

“Anthony, look at this” said Toji

Toji opened an aquarium like tank
opening the top revealed a clear chemical liquid
and the bottom was lined with jewels of all colors.

“The jewels cultivated!” Anthony exclaimed excitedly

“Cultivated?” asked Hikari

“These are what Dr. Serwan called EarthFire Gems.  Volcanic rock 
left soaking in a special chemical mixture will result in this
gems.  They have to sit for a long time.  At first only three gems were made.
A green, a blue and a violet.  The blue one was the original one in my
lightsaber but I latter changed it to green.  I thought it looked better.
I can’t believe he made this many gems.  There must be hundreds, maybe
thousands here!”  Anthony said, his initial pain gone, replaced by hope

“They’re beautiful” said Rei

“What do they do?” asked Hikari

“They’re the focusing jewel of the lightsabers
but they can be worn as jewelry or any decoration” 
explained Anthony

“Can you build more lightsabers?” asked Kensuke

“If I had the blue prints I could.  Look around for disks or plans”
said Anthony

Shinji found a metal case
“Over here”

Anthony examined the case, on the front was a number pad

“It’s got a combo lock” he said

“It could take hours to crack the code” complained Kensuke

“Not really,  I think I know it” said Anthony
 
He hit the keys

With a soft click the lock opened and the lid popped up

‘How’d you know?”

“It’s the order the Star Wars movies were released”

“They did the  fourth movie first?  Why” asked d Myna

“Who the hell knows?” said Anthony

“What happened to three.” asked Karou

“Two was released early 2000  and It’s creator died
in Second Impact so three was never made”

Opening the case they found several data disk
along with several guns

“Are- are- are those guns?” asked Hikari in shock

“Cool” said Kensuke

Anthony took one out and examined it
he muttred to himself
“Copy of Han Solo’s gun, basic power pack, three settings
focusing jewel”

Then he spoke to the group
‘The guns are based on the same technology as the lightsabers.
They use a smaller focusing jewel to create the laser blast.
They have three settings, same as the lightsabers, hologram, 
taser and lethal settings.”

‘Why does a gun have a hologram setting?” asked Karou

“Training.  And they can be used to play laser tag, see there are
hit detectors in the case.  All right everyone take one”

Karou, Toji, and Kensuke eagerly took one

“I Don’t want one” said Myna

“Toji if you take one I’ll never talked to you again”

Anthony looked Hikari in the eyes, held a gun out to her
“Take it” he ordered
“Hikari, this country is dangerous.  You need to protect yourself
If you want on the way home I’ll remove all the upgrade chips that
make the guns lethal so they’re simply stun guns.  Besides I think
they were meant for us anyway.  So please take it”

The girls reluctantly each took one along with a shoulder holster
Kensuke attached a hit detector to his belt, hoping to look cool

“Come on guys” shouted Misato


They grabbed the case, after scooping the jewels out of the tank
and headed for the bus.

“Where did you get those” asked Misato noticing the weapons
“Another gift from Dr. Serwan” said Anthony

“You can’t care them, in this country you need a license”
said Misato

“Our NERV ID’s are enough” said Anthony
“In this country we are technically government agents so we’re
allowed to carry weapon regardless of our age”

‘Let’s get going” said Misato, not totally happy with the
addition of the weapons

“The bus moved on through the dead city
Anthony began to shake again as the bus turned a corner

‘Do we have to go this way?” he asked shakily

“What’s this way?’ asked Asuka

again his response was barely above a whisper
‘The school”

“You wanted to face your past,” said Misato

Misato” said Asuka loudly
‘Don’t you dare take us there!”

“It’s- It’s all right Asuka.  Misato’s right I need to
face my past.” said Anthony

‘But, you might lose it” said Asuka worried

Anthony put his arms around the concerned pilot
“Not with you nearby I won’t” he whispered to her

 They arrived at the site of the former school
Instead of intense pain, Anthony was struck by utter disbelief

‘What the hell happened?” he asked

Instead of  a ruined school, the found an empty lot
no rubble, no ruins, It was as if some one cleared the area
of all traces of the school.

[Beneath NY-2]
Unknown to the children they actions were being watched by one.
“Good they’re almost on the spot.”  said Dr. Asista

‘She turned to the nine figures behind her
“Get in position” she ordered
[back above ground]

The children got off and looked around.
Misato stayed on the bus.  She was lost in her own thought


The realization hit her.  however Misato was lost in thought, she didn’t notice
the dark figure creeping up behind her.  She didn’t noticed until a chemical 
soaked cloth was placed over her face.  Misato struggled but only 
for a few minutes then the chemical took over, then she passed out.

“NOW” shouted Dr. Asista
As she punched a button on a light control panel

Suddenly the ground under the children opened, spilling them
into the dark pit below.


“Ohh, what happened” moaned Myna as she stood
looking around Myna saw that she and the rest of the group
was in a light hallway.  A trap door in the ceiling closed sealing
them in.  

“Everyone OK?” asked Karou

“I think so” said Toji

‘Wait!  Where are Shinji and Anthony?” asked Rei very worried

“ANTHONY!  SHINJI!” shouted Asuka

“They can’t help you” a voice called out

Four hooded figures came down the hall

The children turned to go the other way
Only to see three other figures come from the other way
From seemingly out of thin air each one produced a gun.

“Time to go, you seven, get moving” said one of them

“Who are you!” demanded Asuka

The figure pulled back their hoods
The children gasps in horror

You, you, you’re US!” exclaimed Myna

“Actually we’re your clones’ said Asuka’s clone 
with a wicked smile
“and we’re your replacements”


Somewhere else Shinji and Anthony stood up

“You all right Bro.” asked Anthony

‘Think so.” said Shinji
“What happened?” 

“I think we’ve been caught in a trap.” said Anthony

“Whose trap?”

“Who the hell knows.  There are a ton of lunatics around
NERV, SEELE, maybe some wacked out cult that worships the Angels
we’ve been fighting” said Anthony

‘So what  do we do?” asked Shinji

“First things first’ said Anthony
“Follow what I do.”

Anthony took his lightsaber, unscrewed the bottom to reveal a secret
compartment.  In the bottom on the removed piece was an upgrade chip
removing the upgrade chip and inserted it into a slot located in the top of 
the secret compartment.  Locking in place Anthony then 
replaced the removed piece

“OK what did that do?” asked Shinji

‘Now our lightsabers are deadly so be careful”
said Anthony

“Being careful won’t save you now” a voice called

Two robed figures approached the two young pilots

‘Who are you?’ asked Shinji

“You living nightmares” said the figure
as they pulled back their hoods

“Holy shit.” whispered Shinji
“You’re us.”

‘We’re your clones and your executioners” said Anthony’s clone

From their sides they each produced silver cylinders
With a familiar snap/hiss red blades extended from each of them
Red, the color of blood

  Anthony thought 
remembering his dream

Shinji thought the same thing


Our two young Jedi activated their now deadly lightsabers
ready for battle.  

The opening of the battle was quick.
They trade blows and blocks neither side scoring a hit.
Then Anthony’s clone closed down his lightsaber and said
“Come on Draven, I want to kill you else where”

With that he ran off.  Anthony looked at Shinji
“Get going, I’ll deal with this monster”

Shinji’s clone said “Go on, I just want to kill him”he pointed at Shinji.


Anthony looked at them for a second, then took off after his clone

“You can’t run from me creep” Anthony shouted

“I don’t need to run.  I just want you to die in a special 
place.” shouted the clone

The hallway Anthony was running in was dark
his dream resurfaced
The cold feeling was there.  He ran down the hall
to a dimly lit room.  In front of him stood his clone

“Road ends bastard” he said

“Confident aren’t we?” asked the clone
“Wouldn’t you like to know where we are?
Aren’t you the least bit curious?”

‘Sure, why don’t you show me your tomb
monster” said Anthony

The clone pulled a small remote from his robe
Hitting a switch the lights came on
For the third time that day Anthony was forced-feed his past.
His lightsaber dropped at his side and he collapsed to his knees.
The room the clone had led Anthony to was the place his life 
had changed forever.  This was the storage place of Eva’s  03 and 04
they were on the bridge that separated the two Eva storage cages.

“This is not all Draven, you have many secrets in your head, that even
you don’t know.  But I have the power to release them.  So I shall
only to prolong you suffering” laughed the evil clone
He moved towards Anthony looking like a demon from Hell

Meanwhile the other seven pilots were being moved through the 
halls by their clones

“Where are you taking us?” asked Karou

“To a disposal unit’ responded Toji’s clone


‘Disposal unit” asked Myna hysterical
“Why?”

‘If we don’t kill you , how can we take your places”
asked Rei’s clone

“Wh6y are you doing this” asked Hikari

‘Dr. Asista created us the in the same fashion as the Evas.
Our purpose to be under the complete control of Dr. Asista’s
superior.”  Explained Kensuke’s clone

“Who?” asked Toji

“We won’t know until we’ve killed you.  Then we take 
your places as Team Eva.  Don’t go thinking Misato or
anyone else can tell the difference, we can duplicate emotions
perfectly.  We’re just like you until it is time for us to 
do what we were created for.  And if Misato or any tries to stop us
they will die by our hands.” explained Asuka’s clone

“We have got to do something” Asuka whispered  

‘They haven’t taken our weapons, maybe they didn’t see them
they don’t out number us.  I say we jump them” Karou whispered

Quick communication by the eyes let the other children know the plan.

“On three” whispered Rei

‘THREE” shouted the seven children as they turned on the
clones catching them by surprise

In the struggle that insued bodies went everywhere
Asuka grabbed Rei’s clone throwing her into the wall
shot put a single shot between her eyes.

 She thought

Karou grabbed his own clone, forced the gun into
his stomach and emptied the ammo clip.
 he thought

Toji grappled with Kensuke’s clone
he was able to put his balster under ihis chin and
pulled the trigger
Then he sprung and shot Myna’s clone right where
her heart should have been

Rei was tussling with Asuka’s clone
“Come on Wondergirl.  Let’s see what you got”
Rei grabbed the clone’s arm, and tossed her against the wall.
The pulled up her blaster and put one good shot
Right in the forehead.
“Don’t call me Wondergirl” she said angrily
 
Kensuke flipped Toji’s clone to the floor then
put three shots in his heart.

Hikari’s clone took aim at Hikari
“Look out” shouted Toji
He pushed Hikari out of the way and received a shot to the shoulder

Hikari looked at the fallen pilot  Her eyes red with anger.
She pick up two blasters, her and Toji’s
and spoke to her clone
“You.  Shot.  My.  Man.  BITCH!” said Hikari
as she turned her clone in to Swiss cheese

“OK,  Seven down, two to go?” asked Myna

“I have a feeling Anthony and Shinji can handle their
own clones” said Toji

“The question is, How do we find them” asked Rei
Then she noticed a light from Kensuke‘s side
‘What’s that?”

Kensuke pulled the device from his side
“It’s the hit detector I took from that metal case with the guns
There was a display screen on it.  It showed seven dots in a cluster
two a few yards away and two more a few yards farther

“Looks like it can be used to track the weapons”
said Kensuke

‘What good is that in laser tag?” asked Karou

“Asuka, set your gun  below lethal” suggested Kensuke
When Asuka flipped the switch one of the dots disappeared from the
display.

“It can only read the weapons when they’re set on lethal”
said Kensuke

“That means, there are two more lightsabers out there 
on their deadly setting” commented Asuka

“Well, let’s get going, we have to find the boys”
said Rei

In  the hallway Shinji and his clone were still dueling.
They had moved up and down the hallway
“You’re good” he panted

‘I’m you clone, I have all your memories and you skills
 boasted the clone

“I still don’t see how you were created “ Shinji admitted

“Remember that night you and other pilots were having a party.
One in which you planned to get some?”

Shinji nodded

“Well during the party a sleeping gas was pumped in through 
the vents.  Once all of you were sleeping, retrieval teams took blood
samples from all of you.  And from the boys they also took semen samples.”
reviled the clone

“Semen?  Why?” asked Shinji shuddering in the realization someone had to 
coax them from his body.  He can only hope it was a female officer who did it.

“We have egg cells, we needed semen  samples to make a fertile eggs then used 
that to clone you.”

“But Ritsuko said our sperm counts are dead.”

“Not dead, neutralized, by the L.C.L. but we have a way to make 
them active again” boasted the clone

The duelists entered a room.  About a third of away into the room there was a ledge
where a bridge once stood, but was destroyed later on.

Shinji was being backed to the edge.  At the bottom was a vat of a strange looking chemical

“What is that shit?” he asked

‘It’s L.C.L. or it was.  That was before it was left to sit for a year  
then it was exposed to all that energy from the S2 explosion.  so who knows
what it is now.  Whatever it is, one thing is for sure it can’t be good for any one
who falls in.” said the clone with a wicked smile

The battle continued, Shinji was unable to get the advantage
Finally they were parallel to the edge of the platform.

Shinji did his best, low thrust, his thrusts, high slices.
Every attacked was blocked.

“It’s useless Ikari!  I know all your tricks” boasted the clone

 thought Shinji remembering the trick that
had defeated Anthony in the training duel the other day.

On the next side-swing Shinji deactivated his lightsaber
just like before the blade passed harmlessly over the handle too short
to hit his chest.  Then he re-activated and slice both of his clones hands off.
“aaagrrhh” screamed the clone.  He staggered back.  Shinji moved next to it
and thrusted his lightsaber right into the clone’s chest.
Then with-drawing the weapon, the clone staggered to the edge.
Shinji looked at him
“Watch your step to hell, It’s a long fall” 
With that Shinji sliced in an upward arc sending the clone
screaming over the edge and into the vat of unknown mixture.

Shinji watched the clone struggle
then sink beneath the surface
 he thought securing his lightsaber
to his belt, then started down the hall.

Back in the Eva cages Anthony was experiencing hell
The clone placed his hand on Anthony’s head.  
“Now I’ll show you the truth of the past”

Suddenly Anthony was looking through his eyes, when he
was 2yrs old.
He saw his parents arguing with a dark shadow
he heard bits of the argument

“We must do this” the shadow said

“Why must our son be put through this?”
asked Mrs. Draven

“Because he has an ability few other have”

‘We don’t know that for sure” said Mr. Draven

“Early test suggest he’s one of them.  One of the chosen
children” said the shadow

‘I refuse to put my son in that danger” said Mrs. Draven

“I will not accept no” said the shadow as it pulled out a gun and
shot the couple dead. 

The shadow figure walked over to Anthony
“Hello Anthony.  You and I are going to be great friends.”
The shadow bent down near the fallen couple
then standing up, 
“Here I think you parents would want you to have this.”
He placed somthing around the baby’s neck.  It would later turn out
to be a gothic style cross

“Yes, we’re going to be great friends.  Allow me to introduce
myself.  My name in Michael.  Michael Serwan”

The shadow vanished and Anthony finally saw the face 
of his parent’s killer. The man that had been his adoptive father.

“NNOOOO” screamed Anthony

“Now you see the truth.  Dr. Serwan killed you parents the adopted you
in hopes of raising the perfect Eva pilot.  This is also why he made the lightsaber
so you’d be skill in hand weapons, making you a better pilot” said the clone

Anthony was still crumpled on the floor, at his side
was his lightsaber, a gift from his parents killer.

“You see.  It’s all you fault your parents died!
You are the cause of it all” laughed the clone

Still trapped in his own past, Anthony had another memory surfaced
It was just after the defeat of  Defender.

“Anthony, I sorry.  Dr. Serwan is dead” said his assistant Eric

Anthony fought the tears
“Now what do I do Eric?” he had asked

Eric looked at him

“Go to Tokyo-3.  Help the pilots already there.
Start a new life and never look back to this place”

Anthony turned to leave but Eric stopped him

‘Before you do, read this.  It’s Dr. Serwan’s last words
he asked me to write them down.”

Eric handed Anthony a piece of paper. 
it read:

Anthony,
 Please forgive me
I did what I had to for the world.
I wish there had been some other way
there wasn’t or I just didn’t see it at the time
Please forgive me

Dr. Michael Serwan

“I always thought he meant putting me in the Eva.
He really meant the killing of my parents.”  
Anthony said to himself

The clone was still cackling
“Your fault!  How does it feel to know you
are the reason your parents were killed?  Your lightsaber
skills that you are so proud were given to you
by your parents killer.  Every time you use it you’re thanking
Dr. Serwan for killing your parents”

Anthony could feel himself sinking deeper into himself
not wanting to come back.  Then he heard another voice

“Anthony.”

“Mom?”

“Anthony, you must forgive Dr. Serwan”

“Why?  He killed you and put me through hell”

“Your mother is right.”

“Dad?”

“Dr. Serwan was simply a man, trying to do what was best
for the world.  He adoptive you, hoping to raise you
the same way we would, but allowing you to pilot the Eva
However when his wife died, he didn’t have the strength to continue.
So please forgive him”

“I don’t know if I can”

“He took us, but he gave you a purpose.  If he hadn’t done 
what he did, you’d might have died in the Defender attack,
or the S2 explosion.  You said at the graveyard You have confidence,
you have good friends, you’re a hero and you have a girlfriend.  
You must fight. If you die what happens to her?”

Anthony could feel a rage building in his body
The clone raised his lightsaber
“Now while you think of you parents you can join them”

Suddenly Anthony ignited his lightsaber and blocked the clone’s attacked
The clone moved back, startled by the action, even more startled when he saw
the rage building in Anthony’s eyes
Anthony attacked ferociously
The clone was barley able to block.  
The clone was forced back due to the strength of the blows
Anthony was putting his rage behind his attacks
the clone couldn’t launch his own attacked
Finally the lightsaber was knock from his hand

Anthony trusted his lightsaber directly into the clone’s chest.
The swung around, swinging his lightsaber in an arc and 
took the clone’s head off with a clean sweep.

The head went flying over the edge and vanished.
The body disintegrated right in front of him.
Anthony watched the body decompose.

“Some clone.” he muttered

Before Anthony could dewell on what had just happened
he heard a shout
“Anthony!”
Turning he saw Shinji running up to him and right behind
him was the others.

“You all right?” asked Shinji

“Physically” he replied

‘What happened?” asked Asuka

“I’ll tell you latter” answered Anthony still breathing heavy

“You look like hell” said Asuka

“I been through it again” he said

‘Maybe coming here was a bad idea” comment Rei

“No.  I learned the truth about my parents death, finally.
I’ll tell you all, I just have to finish digesting it” said Anthony

‘How do we get out of here?’ asked Myna

“If I remember this place that ladder over there will lead to 
surface” said Anthony pointing to an emergency ladder
a few feet away.  

The climb to the top was only a few minutes
When the cover popped open the children climbed into the sunlight

“Now to find Misato and the bus” said Karou

“It should be that way” Shinji said pointing East

They walked about twenty minute before coming across the bus
Misato was still passed out in the driver’s seat
“Misato!” shouted Hikari

Running to the bus the checked their fallen commanding officer

‘It’s all right, she’s only sleeping” said Kensuke

“Ohh, what happened?” moan Misato

“Misato are you all right?’ asked Toji

“I’m fine but we have to get out of here
it’s a trap!” said Misato

“Don’t worry Misato we dealt with the problem” said 
Shinji smiled.

“Not yet you haven’t” a female voice called

The children got off the bus to confront a women in her early
twenties, with blonde hair and hatred filling her blue eyes

Karou’s jaw dropped “MISA?!” he exclaimed


‘That’s Dr. Asista to you little boy.  Seducing you wasn’t
done for fun, I needed your genetic material!”

‘She’s the secret girlfriend?  Man, you would have been 
better off with Ritsuko.” said Shinji

“You killed my clones!” she said angrily

“You made them?” asked Karou  “Why?”

“Because I could!  And I have another surprise for you
bastards” she said

Turning she point to an young boy, about 7 with 
sandy blonde hair and blue eyes.  

“My ultimate creation!  I give you Christian the Millennium Child!
His is the pinnacle of genetic engineering.  He has all the power of you nine.
He can control any and all Evas.  Christian can control multiple Evas at one time
He has great mental powers.  And best of all he listen only to me.”

“All of our power?” asked Anthony

“Each of you has the genetic trait to control an Eva
added together in a single being it adds to great power.
If you have children with another pilot that child will have 
slight mental powers, nothing real noticeable but if that offspring
has a child with another two-pilot offspring then that child
with have increased mental powers. “  explain Dr. Asista

‘Then that child is?” asked Myna

Christian is the equivalent of your great grandchild
if your children and grand-children married one another”
boasted Dr. Asista
“Enough bragging, now Christian, kill them!”

‘Yes mother” said Christian with a voice that betrayed his young age

Christian began to gather energy, his eyes narrowed in concentration.  
The children were too scared to move even 
Misato was rooted in place

A blue aura began to surround Christian,  Suddenly his eyes opened wide 
in shock
“Mother  what’s happening ?” he asked with a strained voice

Suddenly the power began to overload
‘What the hell?” exclaimed Dr. Asista

‘He’s gonna blow!” shouted Misato

Christian exploded in a flash of blue, sending energy shooting in all directions
The blast neared our heroes death seemed imminent however, a  familiar barrier
suddenly appeared to protect them
‘An A.T. Field!” exclaimed Asuka 

The barrier protected them until the energy finally 
diapered.  There was no sign of Dr. Misa Aista
or the Millennium Child Christian

“Well that was a bust!” exclaimed Toji

“What happened?” asked Asuka

“Misa said the Christian was like out great grandchild, cultivated
in a lab.  The way I see it if Christian had been giving life
and his powers natural then his body may have been adapted
to handle the powers.” said Karou

“Now the question is where did the A.T. Field come
from?” asked Hikari

Before anyone could offer a suggestion the ground began to shake

“Earthquake!” shouted Myna

“No!” shouted Anthony In a panic
‘It’s not!”

He grabbed Asuka and Misato and pushed them toward the bus

“Everyone get in!” Anthony shouted

Once all the children were in

‘Now drive Misato, drive a fast as you can!”
he ordered

“Anthony, maybe it’s best we wait out the earthquake”
said Misato

“It not an earthquake.  It’s woken up!  We have to get
out of here NOW!” said Anthony

Misato turned the key and the bus roared to life
She began to drive them out of the city as the ground began to split
 as they got out of the city everyone was glued to the rear window
except Misato whose eye’s were glued on the rear view mirror

“Heaven help us.  It’s waking up” Anthony said his voice full of fear
“The demon, the demon that sleeps beneath NY-2 has woken up

As they watch a huge form emerge from the earth
A dragon like thing pulled itself out of the ground.  
It stood on two legs.  Easily twice an Eva’s size
The head resembled a Chinese dragon.  It’s body
was covered with green armor, the claws had gold armor
At the base of the neck a red core glowed, the tail swung side to side

Anthony watched with a look of fear and defeat
“And now it’s awake.  Solanos has risen form it’s 
decade long sleep.  

Solanos leaned it’s head back and let loose a roar
To the people in the bus the demonic roar seemed to be
signaling the beginning of the end.

End Chapter 7

Well know you know, the secrets brewing in NY-2
The clones and Christian have been dealt with
but what about Solanos?  You’ll have to wait
