Well here it is the end of my planned series.  No the story doesn’t end here but I don’t know how to continue.  Any and all ideas are welcome.  In the mean time check out my new story line

Chapter 3

Anthony woke up a minute before the alarm, switching it off he sat up.  Anthony opened the shades, letting the bright sunlight fill the room. Anthony glanced at the calendar, the date surprised him.



	Anthony reflected on how he’s changed in the past year.  One year ago he was a 14 yr old, quite, shy young boy with few or no friends.  Not all that different from Shinji.  Now, he was 15, with good friends, a girlfriend/lover and was the pilot of one of the most powerful battle machines ever created.  Together with his friend they had neutralized Third Impact.  During the Impact they had joined together, with Shinji and Unit-01 and as a group returned the world to the way it was.  However this heroic act did have consequences, the memories of everything after the attack of  the 16th Angel was erased and replaced with false memories.  

Anthony dressed into his school uniform quickly and left his room.  He was in a good mood, there was definite spring in his step.  The gothic-style cross that always hung around his neck bounced back and forth. He walked from his room into the kitchen.  It was the girls turn to cook breakfast while he and Shinji made the lunches.

Since joining with Shinji, Rei had opened up.  She had shown more emotion, smiled more and actually laughed.  Asuka no longer hated Rei if fact they were good friends.  Rei was also staying over Misato’s a lot.  Misato insisted she sleep on the futon in the living room  instead of Shinji’s bed, where she wanted to.  She kept and extra dresser in Asuka’s room for extra clothes.  
Rei rarely went home to her apartment, they were trying to get her moved in with Misato.

Anthony entered the kitchen to see Asuka making breakfast,  He came up behind his red-haired lover, embraced her from behind and kissed her on the check
“Morning Asuka-chan”
“Morning”
“What’s cooking?”
“A German breakfast, what else?”
“Might have know, where’s Misato?”
“She has night duty tonight so she’s sleeping late.”
Anthony squeezed Asuka’s waist a little tighter
“Night duty huh?  So it just us tonight.”
“Yeah, us FOUR!”
“Your point?”
“We can’t do anything with all four of us here.”
“Why?  Rei doesn’t seem to be too loud”

Rei entered the kitchen hearing this last comment
‘Unlike Asuka who moans so loud, you can hear her in the Geo Front”
Asuka blushed, and Anthony laughed
“She’s not that bad”
“Never mind that!  Rei get in here and help me with breakfast.  Anthony get your American ass in there and help Shinji “

The other two said in unison “Yes Commander.  Heil Asuka!”

“Damn straight!”

Anthony and Shinji were siting talking to Toji and Kensuke before class
Outside clouds started to gather, signaling the impending storm.

“So I hear Misato’s on night duty tonight” said Toji with a smirk
“Yeah,” said Shinji
“They’re calling for a storm tonight.”
“So?” asked Anthony
“You guys are so dense.” said Kensuke
“Alone with the girls and a storm raging.  What a great chance for, you know” said Toji
Anthony and Shinji grinned


He telepathically sent the words to Shinji

Their reply, in stereo “Who needs a storm?”
Both Toji’s and Kensuke’s jaws dropped.
“Y-y-you mean, you..?” stammered Toji
Anthony turned to Shinji
“Actually I’ll be late getting home.  The electronics I ordered are in.”
‘OK, I think Rei is going downtown too, so we’ll wait.”
“Wait for what?” asked Toji
“Dinner.  What else?” asked Shinji
“And desert?” asked Kensuke
“Desert ?” asked the 3rd and 4th children in unison
“You know.  Rei and Asuka’s special sweet fruit” said Toji
 A school bag hit Toji in the head from across the room Hikari called out
“Don’t be vile Suzahara!”
“Man, what hearing” commented Kensuke
“Love hurts, Eh Toji?” asked Anthony
Shinji and Kensuke laughed, Toji turned red

The ancient professor entered the room to begin class

| Later that |

‘Right, I’ll catch you two at home” shouted Anthony

He started for the downtown shopping district.  Walking along he saw Rei heading in the same direction
“REI! Hey, wait up!” he called
Rei stop, turn to looked at the young teen running up to her.
“Where you heading Rei?”
“The bookstore.   A new novel has arrived.”
“Mind if I walk with you?  The electronic store is on the way.”
“All right.”
The two friends walked along the busy street

Meanwhile, back at the apartment
“I hope they get back soon” said Shinji
“Why? Excited already?” teased Asuka
“NO!  It’s just, well that storm could start at any minute”

Truth be told, they were all looking forward to tonight.  It had been almost a month since
their last ‘blissful night’.  


Rei and Anthony left the electronic store the proceeded d to the bookstore
In his hand Anthony held a bag that held a converter and an upgrade unit  
and about 500 yen in his pocket.

In the bookstore. Rei went to the new releases section while Anthony browsed around.
In a pile of discount books, one in particular caught his eye.



Anthony ended up buying the strange book.
Rei and Anthony left the bookstore just as the heavens opened up and the rains came down
“Move it First child!” said Anthony.

They made to Rei’s apartment in record time, just before the worst of the rains began.
“It looks like, we’ll have to wait out the storm here.” said Rei
‘Yeah, I guess it does.”
The two friends settled down to wait out the storm.  Rei got out her new novel and Anthony began to examine his electronics

Shinji and Asuka were waiting anxiously.  Their hormones were raging as fiercely as the storm outside.  When the phone rang Shinji went answer it

“Hello?  Yeah,  You’re where?  OK  I got it, see you later”
‘Well?” asked Asuka when he came back
“That was them, There stuck at Rei’s until the storm lets up”
“That could take hours!”
“Well, there’s nothing we can do”

An hour later Asuka was ready to bust
Shinji was getting frustrated too, he wanted Rei and the storm was no where near done.
He looked at Asuka.  She was beautiful, with a great body.  He often wondered what it was like to sleep with her

“Shinji” Asuka said seductively

One look in her eyes told Shinji what she was thinking.  He was thinking the same thing too.
Without protest he stood up and silently followed Asuka into her room.
 
It was another two and a half hours before the storm ended and Rei and Anthony were able to head home.

In the hall to the apartment the two pilot were talking
“I’ll bet those two are waiting by the door, to drag us into the bedrooms” Anthony laughed
Rei smiled slightly, “Sounds interesting”
Anthony laughed.  “I see Ms. Rei has her naughty side”
Rei just smiled
They entered a quiet, dark apartment

“Where are they,?” asked Anthony
They notice a light from Asuka’s room
“Maybe they have a group experience planned” suggested Rei
Anthony gave her a strange look
“I never thought you’d ever say something like that!”

Upon opening the door the children were greeted to a shocking site.
One the floor there was a pile of clothes.  In the bed was Asuka and Shinji completely naked
Asuka opened her eyes and saw her boyfriend staring at her.  Her eyes went as wide as dinner plates.  She nudged Shinji, who opened his eyes to see Rei staring at him
“Oh, no” he whispered

‘POW’ Anthony’s fist hit home.  He spun on his heel ‘CRACK” the kick found it’s mark and his target still didn’t fall.  Rei was watching calmly.  Finally a powerful drop kick sent his opponent went flying.  He was breathing heavy, sweat dripped down his forehead.  He walked over to the practice dummy and straightened it up before walking over to his gym bag to get a towel and dry off.  It has been for days since the scene in Asuka’s room.  After catching them Anthony had run into his own room, Asuka followed him.  Shinji had tried to talked to Rei and received a teary eyed slap for his trouble.  Asuka didn’t fare much better.  All she got for her explanation was silence and a mixed look of pain, anger and shock.
The last few days had been full of uneasiness and silence.  Rei and Anthony had been spending a lot of time together trying to figure out what to do about their significant others.  At the moment They were in the school weight room, trying to avoid going home

“So what should we do?” asked Anthony
“About what?” asked Rei
“About them.”
“I don’t know.”
 Anthony picked up his bag and the two jilted lovers walked to the roof of the school for fresh air.
The sky once again threatened with storm clouds.  The children looked at the Tokyo-3 sky-line. There had been no Angel attack in recent weeks and people began to feel the war was over.

“How are we going to handle this” asked Anthony
“I don’t know” said Rei
Anthony opened his school bag and removed the book he bought on the day of the last storm.  
“I want you to read this short story I found.”
He handed the book to Rei, a story called “The Storm” was marked off

“The Storm” was about two people who once had feeling for each other, now married to other people, suddenly trapped in alone in a big house by a ragging storm.  During that time old feelings surface and they shared an intimate evening.  Then afterward the went back to their respective spouses, without a guilty feeling.  It was not planned and it would not happen again.  

“It’s just like what happened with them” commented Rei
“I know, that’s why the story caught my eye.”
A distant rumbling changed the subject
“We’d better get going” said Anthony
“We can go to my apartment”
“All right, yeah, I don’t want to go home yet anyway”
They ran to Rei’s apartment and for the second time that week were caught in the rains
Upon arriving at Rei’s they were soaked
“Well this is just great” said Anthony disgusted
“Calm down.  I’ll put these clothes in my small dryer.  You can take a shower while they’re drying, you’ll feel better.”
“Thanks Rei”
As the water poured over his head Anthony was lost in thought

 
After the shower Anthony put on the newly dried clothes and waited as Rei decided she wanted a shower before changing .
Anthony’s mind continued to wonder


In the shower Rei too was lost in thought.
 her thought trailed off as a new one entered her head. 

After showering Rei wrapped herself in  towel.  She quickly remember the time Shinji fell on top of her, while bringing her new ID card.  
Anthony was watching Rei, he’d always though of her as beautiful but for the first time he envied Shinji for spending so many nights with her.  Rei walked over to Anthony, their faces were inches apart
“Uhh, R-R-Rei?  W-w-what are you doing?’ Anthony stammered
“Asuka has bragged about you.  I want to see if she’s telling the truth”
Rei then kissed Anthony, at the touch of her lips, his mind lost control


When storm ended Asuka and Shinji ran through the wet streets.  They were running to Rei’s apartment where, they knew they’d find their loved ones.  Each one lost in thought
Asuka was going crazy
  She knew all about his past.  How everyone he’d cared about in New York-2 had died.  Which was why he’d taken so long to tell Asuka, he loved her.  Anthony was afraid of Asuka dying too.  
 Shinji was worried too

Truth be told they had enjoyed that night and they knew it would probably never happen again.

The children finally arrived at Rei’s apartment.  Of course the door wasn’t looked.  When they entered they were treated to a shocking sight
There in Rei’s bed. Anthony and Rei lay, nude and holding each other tightly.


Outside the window on a near by rooftop a solitary figure watched events unfold
The lone figure spoke
“My friends,  You have faced the most dangerous Angels, now you must face yourselves.
You have passed the tests that united you, now you must pass the test that threatens to divide you.  If you can emerge from this united still, then and only then will you be ready for the final battle.  You have been chosen by fate to be the soldiers of light in final battle, Armageddon!  I will be there to help you with the final test, but this one you my face alone.  Why am I able to help you while the other like me can’t?  Because I am the Angel of Free Will.  I am Tabris.  Now my friends your saga continues....”

End Chapter 3

This is turning into a bad soap opera.  Well now I’m open to idea on how to continue this series
Until I do, I am working on another story line that is a little funnier and a little more twisted and for that reason I call it “EVA a World Twisted”
I want to thank Yuiji Icana for his input on this story line.  I would also like to thank my old professor Prof. Bission Hadoulis, who took and interest in Evangelion and made the class read Kate Chopin’s “The Storm” which was part of the inspiration for the story.  I hope some one out there actually reads “The Storm” it is actually quite good.  For some strange reason whenever I read it I can’t help but think of Shinji and Rei.  I guess I’ve watched too much Eva.  Hey, wait a minute there’s no such thing as too much Eva!!!  Anyway I hope you all enjoy this story and will give my other creation a chance.  If you like Draven then use him I give full permission!
