"Kitsune won't learn his fire attack until he has grown the rest of his tales." Joy said.Shan set Kitsune down and he ran over to Charmeleon and began to jump on her in an attempt at getting her to play.
"I wonder why Kitsune is so hyper around Charmeleon." Alex said as he watched them play.
"I don't know but I am glad that they get along. I think that Charmeleon can help him learn his fire attacks." Shan said. "Thanks Joy." Shan said.
"No problem, come back anytime." Joy said waving. Shan and Alex left the pokecenter and headed back to the hotel were Quin and Mark were waiting in the lobby. Mark looked extremely angry about something.
"Were have you two been?" Mark asked glaring at Alex. Quin jumped to her feet upon seeing Kitsune.
"Oh wow, that is so cute what is it?" She asked grabbing Kitsune from Shan's hands.
"Be careful Quin," Shan said worried. Shan knew that her pokemon didn't care to be handled by anyone except her, even though he was young, Kitsune might be the same way. Sure enough Shan was right.
"Vulllllllll," Kitsune said and tried to nip Quin's hand. Quin, startled, dropped him. Charmeleon ran under Kitsune and caught him.
"Oh are you ok," Shan said picking up Kitsune. Quin sighed.
"Sorry Shan." She said. Shan smiled at her.
"Don't worry Quin he's ok." Shan said looking at Kitsune. Charmeleon was growling at Quin. Kitsune was attempting to mimic her.
"So looks like he found a pokemon for you." Mark said still frowning.
"Actually Eevee found him Mark." Shan said a bit annoyed. Mark frowned and glared at Alex.
"Yea Shan's Eevee has a great ability for sniffing out pokemon." Alex said.
"Yea but is a weakling. "Said a voice from behind them Shan narrowed her eyes as Drake walked up to them. His Vaporeon was standing next to him. Charmeleon smiled at it and it smiled at her.
"Vulll," Kitsune said and jumped infront of Shan. Drake began to laugh.
"No Kitsune your stay back." Shan said picking him up. He frowned and stuck his small tongue out at the Vaporeon.
"Drake," Dream said walking up to him. Shan frowned when she saw her. She was dressed exactly like her. Shan sighed and rolled her eyes. "Oh it's you." she said and laughed.
"What is that thing? It looks like a stupid little stuff animal." shan took a step forward.
"Leave Kitsune alone Dream," She said. Drake laughed causing Dream to smile widely.
"If your going to play with toy's then you should forget about becoming a pokemon trainer Shan. I mean face it Drake is a thousand times better than you are." She said.
"Hey," Mark said jumping forward. "Are you blind or something. Shan has beaten Drake before you know." Dream looked at Mark and then at Alex and smiled.
"Who's that?" She said pointing at Alex. Alex took a step forward.
"My name is Alex miss." He said taking a small bow. Dream blushed. Shan laughed a bit.
"So," Drake said angrily. "What brings you to this place?" He looked at Dream. "They'll allow just about anyone in hotels nowadays." Alex frowned and walked forward.
"Apologies now." He said. Shan frowned and him and Drake.
"Why should I," Drake said. Alex smiled.
"Because that is now way to talk to a lady." Mark took a step forward.
"Yea," he said. Quin covered her eye's with her hand and jabbed Mark in the ribs.
"Mind your on business." Drake said. Shan walked forward.
"Drake why don't you just leave." Shan said. Dream laughed.
"We aren't going anywhere." She said. "Why don't you leave?"
"Because we were hear first." Quin said. Drake smiled at her.
"I know how about a battle Shan? If you beat Dream and I then me and my friends we'll go to another hotel." He said.
"Don't tell me that those crazy girls followed you all the way. . ." Shan stopped short when she saw a small group of girls behind Drake.
"Drake you can do it," one said.
"Third time is the charm Drakey." Another one said.
"So how about it Shan?" shan nodded and they all walked outside.
Dream stood smiling across Shan. Shan stood still holding her ground. Charmeleon was in her pokeball and sop was Kitsune. Dream took out a pokeball.
"Ok hear we go. Go Pidgeotto." She said spinning around. A large bird jumped from the beam. Shan smiled and took out a pokeball.
"Go Puwar," she said. Puwar jumped from the beam and glared at the Pidgeotto.
"Meowth," she said. Dream pointed at Puwar.
"Pidgeotto sand attack." The large bird began to flap it's wings rapidly causing large amounts of sand to stir up. Puwar lowered herself to as close to the ground as she could go and watched as the sand passed over her.
"Good job Puwar now Screech at it." Shan said and covered her ears. Puwars began to screech in a high pitched voice the Pidgeotto fell to the ground and covered it's head with it's wings.
"No stay in the air. "Dream shouted. Shan smiled.
"Puwar now attacks it." Puwar ran at the bird and began to scratch it repeatedly and quickly. "What attack is that?" Shan asked. She took out her pokedex and pointed it at Puwar.
"FURRY SWIPES: THIS ATTACK IS A COMBINATION OF A FAST PASSED SCRATCH ATTACK." She shut her dex just as the Pidgeotto fell to the ground.
"Oh no not again. "Dream said. Drake walked forward and pushed her aside.
"Step aside and let a real trainer show you how it's done." He said. Shan frowned.
"How can you let him talk to you that way Dream?" She asked. Alex looked Drake.
"You are a real jerk aren't you?" He said. Mark looked at Alex.
"You don't know the half of it." Mark said. Quin nodded in agreement.
"Are we going to battle or what?" Drake asked. Shan nodded.
"Ok Puwar your up again." She said. Drake smiled.
"How about we make this interesting shan?" He said. Shan looked up at him.
"What do you mean?" She asked. Quin, Mark, and Alex sat down on a near by bench to watch. Drake's fan club were standing behind Dream cheering him on.
"I mean a bet. If you win my friends and I will leave the hotel and I'll even pay your fee." He said. shan laughed.
"You'll only lose Drake." She said. Drake closed his eyes and smiled.
"If I win you have to cheer me on at the gym tomorrow along with Dream and the others." He said. Mark and Alex jumped to their feet and both glared at him.
"No deal." Mark and Alex said in unison. Shan frowned.
"Excuse me," Shan said. Puwar growled at them. "I think it's my deception to make." She said. Alex looked at her.
"You aren't seriously going to accept those terms are you?" He said. Mark smiled.
"Yea I man come on Shan you a cheerleader." Shan glared at them.
"DO you two think that I can't beat him?" she said angrily. Alex and Mark raised their hands up.
"No it's not that Shan." Mark said.
"It's just that well I mean what if you lose then you'll be cheering for that guy." Shan glared at them.
"Some friends," she said. "Hey Drake." Shan said. Drake looked at her. "I want to change that. If you win I'll cheer you on but If I win you cheer me on and you have to ware a cheerleaders uniform." Drake took on a look of shock.
"Uh um well. . ." he said. Puwar sat down next to Shan and purred loudly.
"Are you scared Drake? Well you should be." Shan said. "I am not scared of anything Shan, least of all you. Deal." He said Shan smiled and the battle began.
"Go Parasect." Drake shouted. The Parasect walked forward.
"GO Puwar, screech attack." Shan said. Puwar began to screech loudly causing the Parasect to roll over on it's back. Shan and the others watched as Drake jumped around yelling.
"Get up now that Meowth did hurt you." Puwar cocked her head and looked at Shan.
"Furry swipes," Shan said smiling. Puwar ran forward and threw a combination of scratches. The Parasect fainted.
"Return." Drake said. "You cheered," he said. "You have to wait until a pokemon is ready."
"I never saw that in the handbook," Mark said laughing.
"Never mind Go Pikachu." Drake shouted. A small yellow mouse ran forward Shan looked at Puwar and smiled.
"Be careful Puwar. Start off with a scratch attack and then run back hear ok." Shan said. Puwar nodded and ran at the Pikachu.
"PIkaaaa," it shouted as Puwar scratched it across the stomach. It jumped back and Puwar ran back to Shan.
"Pikachu thunder shock now." The Pikachu's red cheeks began to flash and electricity began to surround it.
"Puwar dodged it and try to get close." Shan said. Puwar stood her ground and waited.
"PIKAAACHUUUU," it shouted and the electricity was sent out at Puwar who jumped out of the way. The Pikachu continued to send out it's attack as Puwar jumped out of the way each time getting closer to it.
"Now Puwar furry swipes!" Shan shouted. Puwar began to attack and as she did the Pikachu fell to the ground.
"What?" Drake said shouting. "How could that happen?" Shan laughed.
"Two four six eight Drake." Shan said sarcastically. Drake turned red and grabbed another pokeball.
"GO SCYTHER!" He shouted. Puwar jumped back in shock as the giant green creature apeared. Shan looked at Puwar who seemed scared.
"Puwar I know you can do it just try your best Pretty Puwar." Puwar looked at Shan and then glared at the Scyther. Drake began to laugh.
"This is going to be funny. I never thought you would give your own pokemon a death sentence." He said.
"Shan what are you doing?" Quin shouted.
"Puwar needs experience and she can get it hear. Puwar combination, use your Screech and Furry swipes." Puwar ran at the Skyther who flew over her. It landed behind her and was about to attack when she began to screech at it. The Scyther held it's ground as long as it could before the noise began to get to it.
"Scy ther," it said and covered it's ears. Alex laughed to himself.
"Wow," he said. "She's great." Mark frowned and then looked at Shan. She was so calm it made him feel uneasy.
"I think she is to calm, I mean that Scyther is tuff." Alex looked at Mark.
"She just look's calm, she is actually extremely worried about Puwar." Alex said. Mark just turned his head back to watch shan.
"Puwar now use your scratch attack." Puwar jumped out at the Skyther and slashed it across the face. It screamed in pain and fell to the ground. Shan's friends were speechless.
"Way to go Shan," Mark shouted.
"Yea you really have him on the ropes." Alex said. Quin smiled and looked at Drake.
"Don't worry to much Drake I think you might look fine in a Cheerleaders uniform." Drake turned red and glared at Shan. Shan smiled and tried not to laugh. She looked at Puwar who was panting heavily.
"Puwar time to come back." Shan said. Puwar looked at Shan and shook her head.
"Meowth meow." She said facing forward. Shan sighed and allowed her to stay out to battle again.
"Ok Shan now your going to face my top Three. I hope that little kitty doesn't have a heart attack after fighting this one." Drake said. Behind him Dream and her friends were cheering loudly for him.
"Go Drake you can beat her she's nothing compared to you." Dream said. Shan glared at Dream and then at Drake. Puwar growled and lowered herself to the ground ready for the next battle.
"That cat better be quick," Drake said and lifted a pokeball in the air. "Go Poliwhirl." A large blue creature formed infront of them. Shan was about to scan the creature with her pokedex when it rammed into Puwar knocking her back.
"Ahh," Shan said in shock. Puwar jumped to her feet and breathed heavily. Puwar smiled and sat down.
"Now I'll get that cat." Drake said. Shan suddenly felt something, she looked at Puwar. Puwar's small charm was beginning to glow and shine brightly. Suddenly the charm flew off of Puwar's head and split into five different charms.
"Meowth," Puwar said and the charms were set hurling at the Poliwhirl. It dodged the first three before it was hit by the other two. Shan pointed her dex at Puwar.
"MEOWTH HAS FORGOTTEN GROWL AND HAS LEARNED COIN TOSS." The dex said. Shan smiled. "COIN TOSS: MEOWTHS CHARM WILL GLOW AND SEPARATE INTO FIVE charms. THE CHARM IS SO SHARP THAT IT CAN CUT THROUGH ALMOST ANYTHING." It said Shan shut her dex and smiled at Puwar.
Drake was steaming now. The fact that a Meowth was beating him was to much. "That dose it," he said angrily. "I am going to beat that cat with this pokemon." Drake took out a pokeball and hurled it at Puwar. "Go Ivysaur," Drake shouted. Puwar jumped back and began to breath heavily again. Shan took out her pokeball and smiled.
"I know you want to fight but your too tired. Return Puwar." Shan said and recalled her. Drake laughed.
"I knew that cat wouldn't be able to take it for much longer." Shan smiled and took out another pokemon ball.
"You can back out now Drake," Shan said smiling, " and save yourself anymore embarrassment." Drake laughed and crossed his hands infront of him.
"Me back down, never." shan smiled.
"Well then get ready," Shan said. Quin nudged Mark who smiled. Alex looked at them with a puzzled expression. " To feel the heat Drake." Shan said and tossed the ball down. In an instant Charmeleon was standing infront of her smiling evily at the Ivysaur.
"Meleon," Charmeleon said. Shan smiled and pointed at the Ivysaur.
"Ember now Charmeleon." Chameleon began to spin in a circle and sent out large rings of fire at the Ivysaur. The Ivysaur jumped out of the way of the first attack but was hit head on by the scolded ring of fire. It fell to the ground and slowly stood up.
"Ivysaur use your tackle." Drake shouted. Shan watched as the Ivysaur ran at Charmeleon who jumped out of the way.
"Charmeleon use your Ember again." Shan shouted. Charmeleon sent out another ring of fire and hit the Ivysaur head on again, this time it fell to the ground and fainted. Shan stood rigged she knew that he only had one pokemon left and that it would be hard for Charmeleon to beat that one.
"I can't let you win," Drake said tossing another pokeball. Shan watched as his Vaporeon apeared.
"Then you shouldn't have challenged me Drake. You were foolish to think you could beat me." She said in a cocky voice.
"Vappppp," Vaporeon said. Charmeleon glared at it and began to growl.
"Vaporeon use your Ice beam." A fine mist began to surround Vaporeon as it's eyes began to glow.
"Charmeleon use your ember to protect yourself." Shan said. Charmeleon began to spin and send out fire just as Vaporeon let it's attack lose. Steam filled the area causing it to fog.
"Charmeleon scratch it." Shan said. Charmeleon ran forward and jumped onto the Vaporeon's back and began to Scratch at it.
"Vap," it shouted and hit her hard with it's tale. Charmeleon fell to the ground but Quickly jumped to her feet.
"Try another tackle," Shan said. Charmeleon just stood there and began to stop her feet around and shake her fists.
"What are you doing?" Shan said and grabbed her dex.
"CHAMELEON HAS FORGOTTEN TACKLE AND HAS LEERED RAGE. THIS ATTACK OCCURS WHEN A POKEMON BECOMES EXTREMELY ANGRY. IT WILL UNLEASH IT'S ENERGY AT THE TARGET."
"Ok then use your Rage," Shan shouted. Charmeleon ran at the Vaporeon and garbed it by the tale. It howled to be let go and attempted to get away.
"CHARMELEON!" Charmeleon shouted and began to hit the Vaporeon over his head with his own tale.
"Vap," it said and fainted. Shan was surprised at what Charmeleon had done and could only just stare at her.
"Oh no," Dream and her friends said crying. "Drake lost," Shan began to laugh as she picked up Charmeleon.
"You did great girl," Shan said smiling. Quin ran up to shan and smiled.
"Great job Shan," Charmeleon barked at Quin who smiled at her. "I mean good job Charmeleon." She said. Charmeleon puffed out her chest and smiled.
"Well I think you will look lovely in your little cheerleading uniform," Alex said laughing at Drake. Mark slapped Alex on the back.
"With those legs," he said laughing. Drake turned red and glared at Shan. Shan smiled and walked towards them.
"You don't have to do it Drake," shan said. Alex and Mark stopped laughing. Drake looked surprised as did Dream.
"What?" mark said. "Yes he doses. You know that he would have held you to the bet if he had won." He said.
"That's right," Alex said. shan smiled.
"I know but I don't need to be distracted by him when I go to the gym. Besides," she said turning. "The fact that I beat him by only using two pokemon is good enough for me." She walked back into the hotel followed by Quin. Alex and Mark smiled at eachother and laughed at Drake again who stormed off.

Charmeleon was setting at the foot of the bed talking to Rattata. The master had left them in the room to go to a restaurant with her friends. She had wanted them to rest for the gym. Kitsune was sitting next to Charmeleon playing with her tale.
"Charmeleon char char (Vaporeon is getting stronger than ever.)" She said. Rattata smiled at her and then stretched.
"Rattata ra tatta Ra ta Ratatta (Yes and you beat him again. You always come though in the end Charmeleon.)" He said. Kitsune looked up at Charmeleon and smiled at her.
"Vulll pix vul pix vull, (I want to be strong like you one day. Were did that big creature go?)" He said waging his two tales. Puwar jumped down from her perch on the T.V and smiled at him.
"Meowth Meowth meow, (You'll be strong soon enough.)" She said sitting down next to him.
"Char char meleon mel eon. (That big creature is the master her name is Shan)." Charmeloen said.
"Eevee ee vee ee, (she left because you are so annoying Kitsune)." Eevee said looking down at him from the bed. Kitsune's eye's began to well up with tears and he began to cry loudly.
"Vulllllll pix Vullpix, (I want her to come back. I want to play with her some more.)" He said crying. Charmeleon shot an angrily glance at Eevee who smiled and closed her eyes.
"Eevee ee vee ee vee eevee (I don't think she likes you Kitsune I mean you play to much)." Kitsune began to cry even louder causing Puwar to cover her ears.
"Meowth meow Meowth. (That's even louder than my screech attack.)" She said. Charmeleon picked up Kitsune and set him on her lap.
"Char meleon char Charmeleon char. (Don't listen to Eevee Kitsune she is just jealous. The master just went out with those other humans to get some food)." Kitsune looked up at Charmeleon who smiled at him.
"Vul, (really)." He asked. Charmeleon nodded. Kitsune curled up next to Charmeleon and fell asleep.
"Rattata ra ttaa ra tataata (What is your problem Eevee? He's just a cub, you shouldn't scare him like that)." Ratata said glaring at her.
"Eevee ee vee eeeveeee. (I don't have to answer to you)" she said and jumped on to a near by pillow. Butterfree landed next to her. Rattata turned back to Puwar and Charmeleon.
"Free freee, (that was mean Eevee)." Butterfree said landing next to her. She sighed and looked at him.
"Eevee eevee ee vee ee ee (I don't want him hear. The master is going to forget about me now)." Eevee said. Butterfree looked down and sighed.
"Char, (your dead wrong like always)." Charmeleon said. Eevee jumped up and walked back to the edge of the bed.
"Eevee ee,(No I'm not)." She said.
"Free free fre eee, (The master loves all of us. How can you even say such a thing?)" Buterfree said hovering in near her.
"Ee. . .Ee. . .vee. . .e (I. .I. .I got jealous.)" She said. Ratata sighed.
"Ratatata Ra tta ta ra (Like always you are being silly. Kitsune is a cub and needs allot of attention.)" Rattata said smiling at the small Vulpix.
"Eevee (I know)." She said. "Eevee ee vee ee Eevee (I promise I'll be nice to him. He is cute though isn't he)."
"Charmeleon char char meleon char (Kitsune is a fire kind like me. I am going to show him how to use fire attacks)."
"Meowth Meowth meow (I am so tired)." She said.
"Rattata ta ra ttata. (No wonder, you were went up in power twice today. I think we all should get some rest)" Ratata said laying down.
"Eevee ee, (I will go to sleep when I feel like it). She said. Puwar jumped back up on the T.V and fell asleep. Rattata curled up next to Charmeleon and Kitsune who was curled up near her. Butterfree perched himself on Eevee's head and they both drifted off.

Mark was glaring at Alex again. How dare he try to out due him. He moved his chess piece and smiled.
"Take that." He said. Alex laughed and moved.
"So who was that guy Shan battled anyway?" Alex asked leaning back. They had decided to stay in the lobby and play a few games. Mark was hoping to beat him at something.
"His name is drake and he's her main Rival." He said. Alex smiled.
"He really likes her," Mark frowned.
"How could you know that?" He asked.
"I'm psychic and I can sense emotions," Alex said seriously. Mark swallowed hard.
"Really well that's interesting, Check." He said. Alex moved and took one of Marks pawns.
"Shan is a great pokemon trainer." Alex said.
"Yes she's great," Mark said and frowned.
"I know you like her to," Alex said. Mark laughed nervously.
"Your nut's she's just my friend."
"Are you sure?" Alex asked. Mark nodded.
"You can tell me the truth Mark." Alex said. "I mean you might as well go ahead and tell me. I already know your lying." Mark moved his piece.
"Check," he said. "Look can we just play the game. I am winning."
"Yea in your dreams mark." Alex said. "I like her to." Mark frowned.
"Well Duh," he said angrily. "Nothing personal but I don't think your her type."
"What do you mean?" Alex said angrily. "Not her type."
"I mean you are an arrogant blowhard and she isn't." Alex laughed.
"And your a stuck up prep who brags about everything," Mark truned red with anger. "Come on you can't fool me. As soon as you found out that I gave her a rose you have been breaking your neck over toping me. Check." Alex said. Mark stood up.
"And your a phony," he said. "You lay on the charm but your just like me." Alex laughed.
"Oh pleas don't insult me Mark. I am a gentleman."
"I think that we should let fate decide. Check." Mark said. Alex stood up and smiled.
"Me to," he moved a his Queen. "Checkmate. I win." He said smiling. Mark frowned and walked off.
"Fate can decide," Mark said. "But it doesn't hurt to help it along." Mark walked off towards his room.
Shan was talking to Quin as she brushed Eevee. "I wonder why Mark and Alex don't get along?" Shan asked.
"Who knows?" Quin said. "I mean there guys," she said smiling. "Guys fight over everything. Let's just get some sleep." Quin said and truned out the light.
