Drake is a spoiled brat basically. The most popular guy in school, he thinks that he is flawless and will always win. His main rival is Shan. When he battled Shan he found that he would have to train hard in order to best her.

Summary
Quin is a friendly girl that Shan met in Luna City. Quins' cousin is Mark and even though she is constantly picking on him she really cares about his well being. Quin met Shan when Mark and her were getting ready for the Luna City tournaments. They became friends fast and together cheered each other on at the tournament. Quin is a kind person who scars easily. When she is scared she releases her Staryu and hugs it tight. Staryu is her favorite pokemeon and has a lot of experience in battle. Although they are Rivals Shan is friends with Quin.

Summary
Mark is a guy that Shan met in Luna City. He likes to brag and that is how he met Shan. His cousin Quin travels with him, mostly because his mother asked him to keep an eye on her. Quin often picks on Mark but he takes it with silent dignity. He likes to flirt with older girls. During the one on one match with a girl named Violet Mark declined fighting her because he never wants to fight a girl. Shan thinks he's a bit crazy for doing that but commends him for his effort. Marks first pokemon is a Squirtel that likes to play tricks on him and often disobeys Mark in battles.Although they are Rivals Shan is friends with Mark.

Summary
Alex met Shan, Mark, and Quin at the Pokemon Acadomy. Shan ran into him while she was walking around the Acadomy. He introduced her to some other psychics, which didn't go very well. Alex is a charmer who hates to see any girl upset. He and Mark do not get along at all for two big reasons. The first is that Alex knows allot about pokemon and never misses a chance to prove Mark wrong. the second reason is Shan herself. They both like her but she doesn't seem to notice. Mark and Alex even though the dislike eachother get along sometimes. Alex is a psychic but seldom uses his powers. Like Shan he turned down an offer to be trained by other psychic pokemon trainers. Alex worked at Surges Gym for a short time but was kicked out because he refused to use electric type pokemon. Alex's first pokemon was a deaf Sandshrew that he trained with sign language. Vegita is hardly ever caught off guard in battle because he can feel vibrations in the ground well. Alex is caring and showed this by giving Shan a blue rose when Rattata was geting his operation.
