The Three Lights aren't just pretty faces! These guys make great music too! Here are some of their most popular songs.

Tondokanu Omoi - My Friend's Love
Written by Takeuchi Naoko
Composed & Arranged by Arisawa Takanori

(Played in eps. 188 & 195) This is your standard Three Lights J-Pop song. The melody is great (extremely catchy), with an kickin' beat and some groovy (synth) brass.

Nagareboshi He
Written by Takeuchi Naoko
Composed by Suzuki Kisaburou
Arranged by Ootani Kazuo

(Played in eps.185, 189, 191, & 193-195) This one would probably be considered the Three Lights' theme song. It's slower than "Tondokanu Omoi", but it still moves. The melody is nice, but the background singers are kind of annoying.. (Search for your love.. Search for your love.. Bleah.) They sound kind of.. off.. to me. The nifty sax solo is a plus though.

Chasin' After You

(Live Action Musical* 4 & 5) This is as "heavy metal" as the Three Lights get. The typical Three Lights syth brass is gone; it's all guitars and drums. (With a nifty whip-crack sound effect.) It's not quite "Welcome to the Jungle" but it's a far cry from "Nagareboshi he." My favorite Three Lights song. ^_^

See Me, Boku-tachi no Jidai

(Live Action Musical* 4) This one has the same sound as "Chasin' After You," only it's a bit slower. It's sounds like something out of the 80's to me. ^_^ It's a great song with a great melody. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that it's so short!

Ginga Ichi Mibun Chigai ni Kataomoi
Written by Takeuchi Naoko
Composed & Arranged by Kameyama Kouichirou

(Seyia's Stars Single)This one's very happy and bouncy... like Seiya! Niiyama Shiho (Seiya's seiyuu) makes the lyrics peppy. The song has sort of swing feel, and the brass sounds great. My favorite part is the acoustic guitar solo.

Chikara wo Awasete
Written by Takeuchi Naoko
Composed & Arranged by Ichinose Hibiki

(Taiki's Stars Single) This one is a light, laid back, jazzy tune. I love the brass in this one, especially the trumpet solo. But, the best part is the singing. Tsunoda Namuri (Taiki's seiyuu) has a very smooth voice, very easy to listen too.

Mayonaka Hitori
Written by Takeuchi Naoko
Composed & Arranged by Deguchi Masao

(Yaten's Stars Single) This song paints a perfect picture of Yaten. It's jazzy and sultry but not too slow. There's no brass, just saxophones, and plenty of funky bass and wailing guitar riffs. Sakamoto Chika (Yaten's seiyuu.. by now you probably would've figured that out. ^_^) gives the impression that Yaten is singing in a smoky jazz bar.

*In my opinion, the musicals have the best Sailor songs around. In addition to these two, there is "La Soldier", "Sailor War", and "Sailor War Supreme." "To a Brand New World" (Saturn's Theme) and "Stay Alone" (Pluto's Theme) are also good. And for something cute and quirky try "It's Chou Very Bad" and "Amazon kara Circus dan ga Yatte Kita."
