Episode 27: A New Goal… Namek
Krillin, still able, picks up Yajirobe’s sword and is about to kill Vegita when Goku orders him to stop. Vegita is allowed to leave earth but not without threatening to return and kill everyone. Goku, wanting to wish back all of the dead members of Earth’s Special Forces, realizes the Dragon Balls are gone with the death of Piccolo. Krillin remembers that the Saiyans said something about the Dragon Balls on a planet named Namek. Mr. Popo, and Bulma go to find the original spaceship Kami used to travel to earth.

Episode 28: Journey to Namek
Kami’s spaceship is rebuilt and is ready for take-off. The space crew consists of Bulma, Krillin and Gohan. While in space, they meet up with an invisible spaceship and are captured.

Episdoe 29: Friends or Foes?
The people within the spaceship surround Bulma, Krillin and Gohan. The leader then accuses them of being Frieza’s henchmen. The earthlings are confused and don’t know who this Frieza character is. The leader then explains that Frieza is ruthless and merciless tyrant that destroys planet after planet. All of a sudden the spaceship is caught in a meteor shower. This causes explosions and fires throughout the entire ship. Krillin and Gohan use their training to extinguish the flames and save a little girl. The refugees then allow the 3 to go to Namek.

Episode 30: Hunt for a Dragon Ball
Bulma, Krillin and Gohan land on planet Namek and are met by 2 native nameks. The two nameks help the 3 to find the dragon balls needed to wish back their friends. The group then searches for the dragon balls. Goku, not recovered from the battle, sneaks out of the hospital for training. In the middle of his training, he is severely injured. Vegita arrives at an outpost and is recovering.

Episode 31: Who’s Who
The nameks who helped Gohan and Krillin and Bulma are not nameks! They learn that they are stuck on a desolate planet. All the places which they’ve gone to were a figment of the aliens’ imagination. The aliens used the 3 for the spaceship. But Gohan and Krillin are under the hold of large man eating animals. Vegita finds out that Frieza is already on his way to Namek, and follows him.

Episode 32: Touchdown on Namek
By using a shortcut, Bulma lands the spaceship onto the real planet Namek. As they celebrate, they see 2 alien space pods fly above, identical to the ones used by Vegita and Nappa! They try to hide their position from Vegita, not knowing that Frieza is already on the planet collecting the dragon balls.

Episode 33: Face off on Namek
Krillin and Gohan scout the planet in search of the dragon balls. In a small skirmish, Zarbon barely picks up their energy levels, but decides to ignore the low reading. On another part of the planet, long time rival Kewie faces off against Vegita. Vegita makes short work of him, knowing that Zarbon and Dodoria have scanned his power reading. He goes in search of a one on one duel with each of them. At the same time, Krillin, Gohan and Bulma hide in a cave, not to be seen by Frieza’s forces.

Episode 34: The Ruthless Freiza
Bulma gets in touch with Master Roshi about the bad news Frieza presents. Master Roshi then runs off to the hospital to warn Goku of the upcoming threat. Just in time, Yajirobe saves the day with a pouch of senzu beans. Eating them, Goku is fully healed and is off to meet Bulma’s dad. After a thorough tour of the spaceship, fully equipped with training equipment, Goku blasts off into space. Meanwhile, back on Namek, Gohan and Krillin are out collecting the dragon balls. Though they only have a few, it’s still a start. Inevitably, they almost come face to face with Frieza at a namek village.

Episode 35: The Nameks Versus Frieza
Frieza demands to know where the dragon ball is in the village. The village elder notices the dragon balls in Zarbon’s and Dodoria’s arms and chooses not to give in. In the conversation between the two, a little history is given about the dragon balls. They were created by the Grand Elder of Namek, and given to 7 elders to prove their virtues. Through this test, their wishes could be granted. Still, the elder refuses to cooperate. After this instance of self righteousness, Frieza had him eliminated and captured the dragon ball by himself. The three other nameks wanted to get revenge for the elder’s death and fought Dodoria and Zarbon. Ultimately they lose, but in the fight the scouters were destroyed, lengthening the journey.

Episode 36: Escape from Dodoria
As the 2 namek children are left, Frieza orders them to be captured. Through further uncooperation, one of the children is killed. Enraged by this, Gohan springs into action and lands a hit on Dodoria’s head. Quickly he grabs the other child and escapes with Krillin following closely. Losing ground, Krilin uses a solar flare and blinds Dodoria. They fly down to the small islands for cover.
