HANNIBAL Based upon: The novel by Thomas Harris, and the series of books featuring the serial killer Hannibal Lecter. This is the third film in the series that began with Manhunter. This film is however more often called Silence of the Lambs 2 because it features the two main characters from that film. Premise: Without giving away too much of the plot, this film would probably follow the plot of the book which finds Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins) being stalked by one of his victims, Mason Verger (who, obviously, didn't die :), and Clarice (Moore) ends up trying to protect him. There's more to it than that, but to give away more would be to give away too much. If you really want to know the rest... read the book. I'm sure the author would appreciate it.:-) Not to Be Confused With Another film currently in development with the same title tells the tale of Hannibal's efforts to keep his rival Scipio Africanus from invading arthage.
