literally translated, the title is "the stars' coins", but everyone calls it "heaven's coins". that's probably because it sounds a lot better. but the chinese translation is "white love". ???
anyways, this is definitely one of my favorite series. it was really sad, like many of the series that i've seen. but i like it nevertheless. it was sad, but for some reason, the sadness i felt watching it didn't feel empty. i don't know why, i haven't been able to figure it out yet.
it's about this deaf and mute girl, aya (noriko sakai), with whom two brothers, shuichi (takao osawa) and takumi (yutaka takenouchi) fall in love. and what follows, but lies, treachery (although not necessarily by those main characters), a flood of tears, and even some puddles of blood later, it ends in a sad yet strangely fulfilling conclusion. you won't get any character analysis from me. i'll just leave it at that. it's good. watch it.
okay, so i'm a little obsessed with yutaka takenouchi (it's a passing thing, y'know). he's really famous now, so you're bound to see him everywhere. check my long vacation section, for instance. he's in that series too. meanwhile, here's a picture or two.....
and it's true that i really wasn't too crazy about takao osawa, but once i saw this picture, i changed my mind slightly....
