Warriors' Destinies
Past and Present

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.

Sun-tzu, The Art of War. Emptiness and Fullness

OH! Hi there. You caught me star-gazing. Beautiful night, don't you think? Welcome to Nagasaki, Japan, the setting of my original story Warriors' Destinies: Past and Present, a powerful tale of love, honor, action, and science-fiction all wrapped into one enormous novella.

"Past and Present" is a story that I have been working for the longest of times, and it's a pretty damn good story I might add. When I've finished working on this, it's off to three video game fan fictions, which can be read here. Right now, just a few installments of "New Destiny" are up. Below are my proposed agenda for video game fan fictions....

Warriors' Destinies

New Destiny
a Dragon Force fan fiction

Warriors' Destinies
Deadly Engagements
A Record of Lodoss War crossover

In case you didn't happen to notice, the final three installments in the Warriors' Destinies Saga are video game fan fictions, two of which have Battle Arena Toshinden's Sho Shinjo in crossover stories.

Speaking of fan fictions, I've gotten several e-mails saying that this novella is a fanfic. Let me re-assure everyone that sent me this message. "Warriors' Destinies: Past and Present" is a story. It is a novella. It is not a fan fiction! To me, there is a substantial difference between a novel and a fan fiction. A novel deals with characters you create on your own or it can be a story using actual human beings, such as your friends, family, etc. as characters.

Fan fictions are two words on its own: fan fiction. A fan fiction (fanfic) is an un-authorized story written by fans, for fans. It either continues an ended series, or just fits in between the cracks of a story. Fanfics are extremely popular on the net, and mostly realted to anime, manga, video games, and other things.... like science fiction. Just click here for my science fiction fanfic archive.

Good examples of fanfics are the afore mentioned "New Destiny" and "Deadly Engagements". These are video game fan fictions. These fanfics also have what is called a crossover, where one or all the characters in one series, show (whatever) change or merge into different universes or what have you.

A terrific example of a crossover is the afore mentioned stories. They're based on my favorite video games, Samurai Shodown and Dragon Force, Street Fighter and Battle Arena Toshinden.

Did I just rant? Huh, I guess I did didn't I?

Where was I going with this? OH! As you can see, I've been hard at work on this awesome story. And I do mean it.... is....awesome
