We get to meet many people in our everyday lives,
but only very few will make a lasting impression
on our minds and hearts.
These people often and will always
remain important to us as true friends.
During the times that I shared with people,
I'm filled with thankfulness to have a friend
who cared enough to listen to me,
tell of joys and trials there has been enough to
change each others' tears to smiles.
The subtle love between two friends is hard to define...
Yes, rare and lovely for they will last a lifetime -
Someone to touched your life and so dear to you
that even if they are miles apart,
the golden thread of friendship will still weave within your heart.
We will never let go of what we share,
whether it's across the miles or just a short distance,
you are and will always be a part of my life and me.
No matter where I am or what I am doing,
when you come to mind a smile comes to my face and
a warmth settles in my heart.
We appreciate, accept each others' strengths and weaknesses
and respect one another as who we are.
We do not judge, control or attempt to change one another.
We help to cheer the adverse hour and are always there to help,
to encourage, to share and to remind one another that we are not alone.
We complement and complete each other and give to one another
without ever expecting more in return.
We listen to each other carefully, and share our souls and hearts.
We help each other on the way with life
and want both of us to be whole.
You would chide me when I'm wrong but nevertheless
our friendship would still continue to flourish and blossom.
Maybe our paths will go in separate directions,
but that won't change the bond we share and what's in our hearts.
We've grown and done a lot together,
but no matter what, we will let each other know that
we do love and care about each other.
Nothing could be more rejoicing than to develop
true and fully committed human relationships :-)

Tuyen is my good friend for the longest time. We live near each other and go to the same schools. We went to the same elementary, junior high, and high schools. She is my roommate at college and we never fight, because she really is a kind, compassionate, and sincere friend. She is very intelligent, helping me with my school assignments when I need help. She also gives me really good advice. She is very selfless, always willing to help others and always there for me whenever I need help. I am very fortunate to have such a good hearted person like her as a friend.
Catherine is my good friend from Vietnamese School. We have been friends for many years. I survived the boredom of Vietnamese School by hanging out with a cool buddy like her. I would have gone crazy at Vietnamese School without her. She is the friend that has the most in common with me. Our personalities are so much alike. She is very intelligent, funny, and kind. She helps me and gives me advice whenever I need help. We both teach and learn from each other. Unfortunately, she lives far from me, but I hope we will always keep in touch because I would hate to lose a friend like her.
Vivan is my good friend from highschool. She was our highschool's only . She is one of my most favorite people in the world. She is very intelligent and energetic. I wish I could be more like her. She helps me with school assignment problems and life problems. She and I always talk with each other and have fun together. She is always there for me, whether it is giving me advice or just talking to me. I enjoy hanging out with her. Unfortunately, she is going to a different college than me and I miss her friendship very much.
Roopal is my good friend from highschool. I have been friends with her for several years. She is one of the nicest people I know. She always has a kind word to say and a helping hand to lend. She has helped me a lot with my problems. She has saved me many times when I had troubles. I am extremely grateful for her help and her friendship. I am very happy that we are going to the same college.
Christina is my good friend at Davis. We live near each other at Davis so we hang out together and have fun together a lot. We do almost everything together. We eat ice cream, cram for exams, and even break bread together. I think we spend so much time together that we are influencing each other. Whatever I do at Davis, I turn my head and she is usually by my side. We were in several classes together, and she is very kind to help me do school work. Unfortunately, she lives very far from me, but I hope we can hang out together more at Davis.
