by the author!

This was originally going to be a humor fic about the twins wreaking havoc with the human high-school system. Then my good, old, dependable science-fiction writer self got to me, and thought, "Hey, what if Juunanagou developed into a more human-like entity like his sister did?" Then I thought he'd get a girlfriend, but not just
any girlfriend. A girl that understood him. That's where Cipu comes into the picture. A girl doing research on cyborgs...that'd be interesting.

"Deida Cipu" is a Toriyama-esque pun on "data" and "CPU" (central processing unit), since she is a computer/cybernetics genius and all.

And some of the things that happened to her, happened to me, too. I frequently got freshly sharpened pencils hurled at me in ninth/tenth grade. I kind of wished there were someone around to defend me... like Our Raven-Haired Cyborg God. :) *teehee*

I had to think long and hard @ putting the sex scene into Chapter 6. I hate writing lemons and yaoi, but it's as mild as I could make it, and concentrates more on the feelings than the physical description of the act.

And, of course, I'm a sucker for morals and confusion. That's why Cipu gets killed, not by a cyborg, but by a fellow human being. it's kind of a statement: who is more "human" in the best sense of the term, the real humans or the artificial ones?

I hope you enjoyed my fanfic. Click
