The 5th Angel seems to of been the toughest Angel yet. It attacked Unit-01 as soon as it was launched. Burning a hole right through the chest, also putting Shinji in the emergency room. The Angels AT Field deflected everything that came at it. A new sniper rifle was being developed, Misato ordered to obtain the rifle and use it against The Angel. With lack of electricity and unsure if the rifle would work, Misato took a big chance on this mission. Using of Japans power Shinji attempted to take out The Angel. The 1st shot missed with a cross-over of the rifles shot and The Angels. Shinji loaded the rifle again. The Angel shot another shot but Rei shielded the shot with a hot resistant shield, with only 17 seconds before the shield melted Shinji shot right through The Angel with 4 seconds or so left before the shield melted.
