Welcome to my page devoted to one of my favorite magical girl series, Hime chan no Ribbon, by Mizusawa Megumi-Sensei. Its the story of Hime Chan, her stuffed talking lion, Pokota, and her best friend Daichi (kawaii!). The story begins when Erika , from the Land of Magic, gives Himeko a magical ribbon and pendant that allows her to assume the identity of anyone in the human world just by looking mirror and saying the magic words: 'parareru, parareru (name) ni nare! (parellel, parellel turn me into (name)!) The ribbon is a part of Erikas' "observation of the human world" training, which lasts for one year. The only drawback is that Hime chan must keep the ribbon and all of its powers a secret from everyone (except Daichi andPokota ^_^). Hime chan eventually gains other magical items and gets into all kinds of predicaments trying to get herself out of trouble and hide her secret from everyone.

Himeko's ribbon and pendant have many powers, but they also have limitations:

Hime chan must wear the ribbon at all times, without it she cannot transform.

The magic ribbon allows Pokota to talk, without the ribbon Pokota is just a cute stuffed lion.

She may only transform into people from the human world

The transformation only lasts for one hour.

She must be careful not to run into the person whose identity she has assumed ^_^.

When it is nearing the one hour time limit the pendant flashes and makes a beeping noise.

To transform back into herself she must recite these words: rurerapa, rurerapa, motto no sugata ni nare!

The Rules
There are some nasty rules from the land of magic that Himeko must abide.

If anyone from the human world finds out about Hime-chans magical ribbon, they will be taken away and all memories of them and the Land of Magic will be erased from Himeko's memory. (Daichi-kun is an exception to the rule. ^_^)

If Himeko has not transformed back into herself by the time her one hour limit is up, she will be stuck in that persons body for eternity.

Due to Erika's personal friendship with Himeko and her kind heart, Hime chan has gotten several breaks on the rules. ^_*

Magical Phrases:
Hime Chan uses several magical phrases throughout the series.

Barsu ri all, jikan yo modore! To start time.

Pikkori pikkora chiisaku nare! To make something small.

Rakoppi rikoppi moto no ookisa ni nare! To return the object to its original size (from smaller size).

Grande graaji ookiku nare! To make something large.

Jiiragu denragu moto no ookisa ni nare. To return the object to its original size (from larger size).

Parareru, parareru (name) ni nare!
To transform into another person.

Rurerapa rurerapa motto no sugata ni nare! To transform back into herself.

Tinker tink, tinkle tinkle, futari ni nare! To create a copy of herself.

Thinker think, thinkle thinkle, hitori ni nare! To merge the copy back into herself.

Fuurudo i freeze, (object) yo tomare! To stop an object

Topu su all, jikan yo tomare! To stop time.
