Rurouni Kenshin Chapter 238 : Suushin Confrontation - Saitoh Versus Seiryuu

Thanks to Wuken for this translation and scans too!!!

Wuken: "I'm not going to go too much into the details of the dialogue between Saitoh and Seiryuu; I'll simply provide a play-by-play synopsis of the fight between the two."

Saitoh begins the battle with a Gatotsu rush, and Seiryuu defends against the attack with his arm.

Saitoh draws first blood. Seiryuu's smirk turns into a mean scowl, and his face becomes stony. Saitoh charges with Gatotsu again, but this time
Seiryuu quickly steps out of the direction of the attack, flanking Saitoh. Saitoh gets stabbed in the shoulder with Seiryuu's naginata (?), but he uses the momentum of the Gatotsu to spin around and launch another strike.

"Futile!"

Seiryuu - 2. Saitoh - 1. Saitoh readies another Gatotsu, and heads in for the kill. Seiryuu cackles at his opponent's foolish decision to use the
same attack once again, but it is Saitoh in the end who gets the last laugh. The outstretched right hand that is always leading during a Gatotsu charge plants itself right onto Seiryuu's mouth, and the momentum of the charge knocks the monster off-balance.

Saitoh mockingly asks his opponent why he is no longer smiling. "You're finished", Saitoh replies. Zero-Stance effectively shatters both the naginata and Seiryuu, allowing us to concentrate next on the battle between Aoshi and Suzaku.

PS.

This week's Weekly Jump contained special Star Wars artwork done by our favorite mangaka -- below is a link to Watsuki's rendering of the infamous Sith Lord Darth Maul.

Other mangaka with Star Wars artwork this week included Akira Toriyama (his Anakin Skywalker drawing is cute!), Eiichirou Oda, Kentarou Yabuki, Yuuko Ishizuka, Daisuke Higuchi, Maru Tsuno, Takeshi Obata, and Ryuusen Fujisaki.
