Rurouni Kenshin Chapter 243
Okay, this is going to be a little different.
Comments from Wuken and info and scans from Hiko (with a translation to follow - yipee!)

Where did Enishi get that sword of his? The last time we saw it, it was half a foot inside the body of one of Gein's masterpieces (chapter 207). Or was it? Was the sword used on the marionette simply a replica of the sword used against Kenshin in the first fight (and consequently, is being used now), or was it the real McCoy? If the latter, how did he get the sword back without anyone noticing? Does Enishi perhaps have an entire closet full of these swords? I've read through the chapter completely already, but I found nothing to explain this discrepancy. I'm assuming he's got a stack of these newfangled swords seeing that he's the head of an affluent criminal organization and can afford more than one as a result, but...Any thoughts, conspiracy theories, etc. ?
Random thoughts about this week's chapter:
* Is Heishin dead? The punch that Enishi threw at him left the upper
part of his head just oozing with blood, so I'm assuming he's "shark
bait", as
Enishi said, but I'm not quite so sure. For someone who's apparently dead, he sure
gets to star in a lot of panels this week.
* Just how many outfits for Kaoru did Enishi and Gein prepare? Kaoru's new white outfit is pretty cute; Enishi has good taste in women's clothing. :)
* Why are there more color pages of Hikaru no Go than Rurouni Kenshin in a Rurouni Kenshin anniversary issue? :)

I said I would scan all of the pages for everyone to read, and so I
have done so. I checked the Rurouni Resource Center but the links seemed down
*shrug* But I'm pretty sure these links will work fine. I'm about 3/4 done with a
translation, so as early as tomorrow I can put

*Note* on the translation....I'm definitely not fluent in Japanese, but I do understand basic grammar and I know the Hiragana/Katakana. If anyone on the list notices any problems with the translation please do NOT hesitate to tell me when I am wrong, or where something sounds weird...it helps me to learn, or at worst make me feel pretty darn stupid :) I've never taken a class on it either, all I've learned is all self taught (mainly thanks to the RK Manga)
