Rurouni Kenshin Chapter 244
Okay, we're trying the comments thing again because there isn't a full translation of this Act as yet.
Note: Kenshin's Rurouni Resource Center has scans here

Partially true... But you have to remember, it was that way near the end of Kyoto also, when Kenshin was fighting Shishio. I think the reason why most feel that the currently Enishi story is concentrating more on "fight" is that most of us are now following the story chapter by chapter as it comes out. If one were to read the Shishio fight every week from Jump in the same >fashion, he or she would probably feel that way also I presume. If you ask me, the Soujiro situation is similar too. Kenshin met him first in Shingetsu Village, and then came Round 2, in Shishio's base, w/ physical and psychological by both sides.... So yes, there are constant fights throughout RK (not just now), but the plot-twists and outcome that tied these fights together make them more than just action. And Kenshin's lecture to Enishi has yet to come ne ^_^?

>However, the Kyoto arc is different from the Jinchuu arc; the fights don't have the same meaning as when Kenshin was stopping Shishio. (But then again, RK is after all a shounen series, and it doesn't make sense forKenshin to sit down and have a _discussion_ with Enishi... so...)
Well, they're different in a way that Kenshin was fighting Shishio in order to save Japan, for a more grand cause. W/ Enishi it's a personal battle... Kenshin's trying hard to confront his personal demon, which is even more meaningful of course. I can see that why some might find the latest round 2 a tad boring as Kenshin had pretty much come to terms w/ his self-forgiving issue (the moment he stood up in Megumi's clinic)... After all it's Rurouni Kenshin, and Kenshin had done his bit ^^. But now it's Enishi's turn isn't it? Hopefully what's going to happen to Enishi will turn out to be interesting and more unpredicatable. (I'm not going to repeat what I said long ago ^^;)
> Oh, something I meant to add about Kaoru's reaction to seeing her friendsagain-- In one way, it almost seemed a little too casual, after how Kenshin finally "returned," yet on the other hand, maybe it was just that Kaoru has always believed in Kenshin.
In a sense yes... But what do we expect Kaoru to do except to have complete faith in her protector? Enishi told her that one step out of the forest and she's dead meat. Kaoru even said to herself that "even though Enishi supposedly can't kill a female who's close at age to Tomoe, but.." So by staying inside and being the so called damsel in distress :), it shows that Kaoru has grown to be more composed too, and she's thinking along the lines of "just in case... better not upset the Shanghai psycho"
> BUT I still think that the recent series of duels with Heishin's four thugs was rather >unnecessary... ¬_¬
I can't argue about the stalling by the four-gods. I think that Watsuki-sensei is not willing to let go of his work yet... as we know, after this, RK is most likely going to end after this, so it's not entirely uncanny for Watuski to have done such thing... I guess we should be more tolerable and savor Sano's reunion w/ his father and the prologue to the last fight ne ^_^...
And now for something very different!!! The following email is self-explanatory! A Note from the Administrator - this is really good so please check it out!!!

Subject: [SASSE] Enishi Kenshin Comic Strip
Dear Minnasan,
Last two days night, after I went to Kenshin's RK Resource Center and read chap 244 (ugh! its cool!) ^_^ I decided to try making the ending of the story and drew them in these comic strips.
There are Kenshin, Enishi, and little of other characters involved in it. I did them in pencil, no time for ink, so I guess it is pretty messy although I fixed them abit by computer..
Im not as talented as other artists in this SASSE, it is also my first time to draw enishi and still new in drawing fighting scene. Please give me some advices about these comic strips.
Domo Arigato, ^_^
