Katja ZakkovKatja is America's greatest medium. She was born and raised in Russia. At a very early age, her parents realized that their daughter was special. So special that they put the child through extensive schooling with some of Russia's most reputable psychics and clairvoyants.
Katja's younger brother, Mikas, never seemed to show any aspiration to live up to his sister's sensational mental talents. Because of political and social instability, the parents left Russia for the United States. They took Katja along, while Mikas stayed in Russia with his grandmother. He took the feeling of sudden abandonment as the ultimate form of rejection and put an end to any sort of communication up to this day. Soon after arriving in the States, Katja's parents became very ill and died of lung cancer, caused by poisonous fumes at their workplace in Russia. Only eleven years old and all alone, Katja was to be put in an orphanage. District Assistant Attorney, Ben Feldman, was taken by the sharp little girl and, suspecting a much bigger potential hidden beneath Katja's psyche, adopted her.
At this point, Katja developed Kaos Moon, an astral projection who is able to materialize physically as a beautiful woman. Modern psychology and medicine, within their limited parameters, would debunk an event like Kaos Moon as an unpleasant and frightening case of spilt personality. Kaos Moon is Katja's connection to all the alternative realities that feature all the choices humankind didn't make in this reality. As opposed to Katja's physical shape, Kaos Moon isn't bound to either time or space as we know it. The process of channeling Kaos Moon is severely draining to Katja's energy sources, to the point where she becomes heavily dependent on medication.
Jules FeldmanJules is Katja's assistant. He takes care of all the administration and conducts through research on the cases. Jules' father, Ben Feldman, adopted Katja and the two spent most of their teenage years together. After Jules graduated from college, they decided to help people deal with paranormal activity.
With Katja's incredible spiritual abilities and Jules' keen sense for business and structure, they've managed to make a respectable living and learn more about the connection between Katja and Kaos Moon. Being a homosexual, Jules was often teased by classmates at a younger age and Katja always stood up for him and offered support. This helped to form a tight bond between them that nearly makes them inseparable to this day.
