(Takayama Nabiki)
So far to date, the only ESPer I've ever created(and possibly ever will). I made the character to look like Nabiki because she is one of the few charcters in Anime that seems to know what is going on without actually being there and discovering things on a firsthand basis. Therefore she has to have some sort of ability that allows her to see what all is going on around. Most of the people in anime that have abilities like that are ESPer's. I carried the idea one step further and gave her some combat skills and then created a whole universe around MY Nabiki(variant). I also give great thanks to Takahashi-sama for creating such a wonderful character.
To start off, her family background is almost identical to the original. Mother is dead, two sisters( one younger, one older)who both like her, and her family status is good. She has four friends: male-old school pal(Kuno), male-like a younger brother(Ranma), female-like a foster parent(Nodoka), female-old school pal(Ukyo). My version is also uninvolved, with no time to waste on romance. She looks identical to the original Nabiki(thus why the picture above is a shot of Nabiki), and is also sneaky and deceptive. She values money more than anything else, and her most treasured item is a photograph of her mother.
Her actual stats are very similar to what Nabiki's would be also(at least I think). The attractiveness is set higher than average, with an intelligence and education to match. She can keep her cool in just about any situation, and with all the aerobics and stretches she does her reflex and MA are fairly high. She has just the right amount of empathy to know when to try and swindel someone and when not to. Her technical ability is set at about average(gotta know how to work that camera).
Her actual skills have a few similarities to the original, but for the most part I came up with most of them. The coomon ones are wardrobe(5), persuasion(5), gamble(5), athletics(4), photography(2), singing (6), grooming(5), and perception(5). The rest of the skills are more combat and or mission oriented. Her mecha skills include gunnery(9), piloting(9), melee(8), and missiles(8). Her awareness is set high, along with her handgun skill. Her hand-to-hand and dodge-&-escape are both at 6 while her zero-G is 3. A few extra skills she has are dancing at 5(she'll sweep you off your feet), and then social, stealth, and survival at 1.
Her ESPer stat is at 4(not to powerful) and she has 6 points in her Psi pool. I didn't give her to high of a rating because with most characters I play, when I tell the GM what my character is doing, I try to keep it to something either I myself have done before, or have seen other people actually do. Thus it easier for me to actually roleplay it because I know what kind of response my character has and can roleplay it properly. ESPer's however, well I'm not an esper, and I don't know anybody who is. That is one of the lines I draw between what's real and what isn't. Alright now that I have that out of my system, back to Nabiki. Her 4 ESPer skills are Clairvoyance(1), Danger Sense(1), Emotion Scan(3), and Suggestion(1). She's not all that powerful of an ESPer as you can see, but in her universe, she is the only the 8th documented ESPer in existance. They are very rare(1 in 1,000,000,000,000) and are regarded with the highest respect.
