I've always been fascinated with JRock...and X Japan is one of the best. Headed by leader Yoshiki, this band was set up in 1985. Till today it has made its way to the top, becoming the most well known Japanese Rock group internationally. What really impressed me was their ballads. Truly comparable(even surpassing) GNR's November Rain. Very formidable group. However it is the loss of the music world when X Japan disbanded on the 22nd of Sep 1997.

Hide, X's lead guitarist commited suicide on 2/5/98. I shall spare you the details. All I can say is X will never be the same again. The world has lost one of the best rockers.

Yoshiki (Drums, Piano, Leader)

Real Name : Yoshiki Hayashi

The pianist and drummer of the group, he is the inspiration and soul of X. Having written and composed most of X's song, this talented artiste is perhaps one of the greatest rock musicians ever to grace this land we walk on.

Toshi (Vocals)

Real Name : Toshimitsu Deyama

The vocals of X. His harsh and unique voice is another important contribution to the success of X Japan. Beautifully delivers all of X's songs..be it fast heavy rock or slower smoother ballads. However his departure was the cause of X's dissolution.

Pata (Guitar)

Real Name : Tomoaki Ishizuka

Hide (Lead Guitar)

Real Name : Hideto Matsumoto

Superb guitarist, he is one who brings X's melody to great heights. Alas, he left us (hopefully) for a better place on 2/5/98.

Heath (Bass)

Real Name : Hiroshi Morie
