Whenever we do meditation, there is always a danger that our soul would 'leave' our body for spiritual travel, leaving the body a vacuum for other 'wandering' spirit and restless soul to possess it. When our soul returns, we might not be able to get back into our body again because it could be 'occupied' by another spirit. Our body is then said to be 'possessed'. Therefore, chanting prayers during meditation is of utmost importance to us when we do meditation in any form, except and provided that you are accompanied by a holy music like the 'SUKMAD SONG'. It radiates holy energy and protects over your vacuum body while your soul goes 'spiritual travelling' to the Divine Worlds.
However, chanting the right vibrancy of the prayers (Mantra) will produce the 'Positive Energy' which will protect our body, whereas wrong chanting and/or chanting the wrong vibrancy of the prayers will produce 'negative energy' which will invite more Negative spirits into our body. You can try the following few 'password' words to test whether they are positive or negative energy producing words. First, get a glass of water, take two sips each time after each exercise and find out whether they give you a sweetish, smoother, rough or bitter after-taste. Positive energy word will produce sweetish or smoother after-taste and Negative energy will definitely produce the rough or the bitter after-taste. Chant 9 times each time for each word before tasting the water twice. The following words are:-
a) OM
b) HUM
c) SHANTI
d) HU
e) SUKMAD
Once you have found the 'right Positive' energy producing word, stick to it always whenever you do your spiritual exercise.
It is like your 'key' to the door of the Divine worlds. As you move higher to the next level of meditation, your password could change and always it could be given to you in your meditation or even in your dream. You must keep it a secret to yourself otherwise your secret password could fail to open the door to the next higher level of meditation.
