Hayashibara Megumi - Bertemu
*Best 5 tracks = 1, 3, 5, 11, 14

*1.  Give a Reason
    - Most anime fans have heard this song at some point; it's rather famous as the Slayers Next OP.  It's exciting, like most Slayers songs, and has a good melody with some cool twists and turns.  It's not one of my favorite overall songs, but it's one of the better ones on the album.

2.  Touch Yourself
    - Kinda funky, I usually skip this song as there isn't much of a melody.  Plus, waaay too many electric guitars.

*3.  Hanareteitemo (Though We're Drifting Apart...)
    - Pretty. ^_^;;  It has a really boring opening, which caused me to skip it the first few times.  After I gave it a chance, I fell in love with it, and would call it the best song on the Cd.  It's such a pretty love ballad.  The lyrics are sweet too.

4.  Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis (Cruel Angel's Thesis) -Ayanami Version-
    - What can I say?  This is *nothing* like the original.  Megumi-san sounds nicer than Yoko-san (note that I said nicer, not better.).  The remix is odd though, with accoustic guitars and stuff.  Not as good as the original.

*5.  Midnight Blue
    - One of the best songs ever to come out of Slayers!!  This is the movie theme, by the way.   Megumi-san sings really slowly, but the music itself, especially the beat, is really fast.  For all of those people who can't speak Japanese, the chorus is easy to pick up on so you can sing along. ^^;;

*6.  Matsuri Uta (Festival Song)
    - Nice and pretty and relaxing.  The only thing that I don't like is the fact that most of the lyrics are 'la, la, la'

7.  Shakunetsu no Koi (Burning Love)
    - Ole!  I'm serious, she actually sings that here, which should give you a clue as to the Latin nature of this song. ^_^;;  It's catchy and medium-fast and I like it a lot.

8.  Life
    - It's cuuuuuute.  The chorus especially.

9.  Fly Me To The Moon
    - Basically, exactly the same as the Evangelion Ed.  Except Megumi-san sings.  Nice, but we've all heard it before *somewhere*  One thing to note is that Megumi-san's English isn't bad at all.

10.  Shining Girl
    - Ummm.... I usually skip this one.  Megumi-san sings a little more agressively than usual, and the melody is kind of weird.  It's not too bad, I guess...

*11.  Nostalgic Lover
    - I love this song!!  Megumi-san's voice is deeper as usual, and the melody is really nice and catchy.  I find myself humming it a lot.

12.  Too Late -New Vesion-
    - It's kind of mediocre; I don't love it, but I don't skip it either.  She sings with kind of a breathless voice, which is cool.  The chorus tends to be slightly repetitive.

13.  Going History
    - Upbeat and fast, like your typical Slayers song. ^_^;;  I like it, but there's nothing all that different about it.  It's kind of like Give a Reason, but not as original.  If you like that song, you'll probably like this one, but not as much.  Am I making any sense here?

*14.  Cherish Christmas
    - It takes a few listens, but this song really grows on you.  It's probably the catchiest song on the Cd, so it'll be in your head a lot.  It's really cozy and comfortable and nice.  Perfect to have playing in the background as you open your presents on a cold Xmas morning. ^_^
