The Great Bishoujo Senshi Fanfiction Contest

Welcome to all the Sailor Moon fanfiction authors who have decided to check this out! The Andromeda Palace is hosting the first ever Great Bishoujo Senshi Fanfiction Contest, and YOU can enter to win! Prizes include your stories posted in the Sailor Moon Fanfic section of our page, drawn as a manga in Midnight Blue Magazine from Midnight Blue Productions, and some other Snail Mail prize we'll come up with later. ^.^ Ideas are accepted, as long as it's not TOO expensive. So what's the catch?

Here's the catch. You must choose one of the fanfic Senshi drawn below (either Sailor 1, Sailor 2, or Sailor 3), and write her story. What is her senshi name? What is her real name? Where does she come from? What is she doing there? It's all up to you. You can even design Sailor 1's boots, 'cause I ran out of room on the paper. ^.^ Check 'em out!

Rules to abide by

General Rules:

  1. Stick to Sailor Moon. No crossovers. If you want to mention other anime, that's fine, but characters can't go any farther than the TV screen.
  2. If you're using English names, use all English names. If you're using Japanese Names, use all Japanese names. Don't mix them up. And spell them right!
  3. Stories can be written in English or French, but I'm not very good at French so English is preferred to my crappy translations.
  4. Stories can be anywhere from one long read to several chapters- but if you're doing chapters, all of those chapters have to be FINISHED by the deadline.
  5. The fanfic senshi MUST be included, or else you'll be disqualified.
  6. Be creative!! The more creative you are, the better.
  7. The deadline is currently undeclared, but as soon as I get a few more entries I'll set one. Get your stories in ASAP if you're going to enter! Send all entries to Serena1818@aol.com. Either attach them as a word file, a text file, or send a web address where we can read the story. If you give us the address of your main page as a place to find the story, you'll be disqualified- lead us directly to it.
  8. Have fun with this! All entries will be published in the Sailor Moon fanfic area regardless of how well they're written, so everyone wins in a sense.
  9. If you're using the North American version, don't start your story right in the middle of the second season (after the fight on the bridge- geez, what is the name of that episode??? >.<;;;) It can be anywhere but there. Wiseman is DEAD. So is Rubeus.
  10. Same rule if you're following the Japanese version, you just have more time to work with.
  11. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation all count! These tiny little elements all add up to make a wonderful fic, and if you have too many errors in one, two, or all three, it will DEFINITELY take away from the read.

Character Rules:

  1. Sailor Moon has no siblings, cousins, half cousins, etc. You CANNOT create another Sailor Moon, and your senshi may not be related to her at all.
  2. The same as above applies to Tuxedo Mask. Failure to follow these rules will result in disqualification, so don't even try to rebel.
  3. In fact, your senshi may not be related to any of the others at all. That makes it too easy for you lazy people. ^.^ Be original!
  4. Queen Beryl is dead. Wise Man is dead. Galaxia is... well, gone. Who am I missing? Oh well, don't resurrect any dead villains. Including Jadeite. Disqualification will occur. Be original!
  5. Your senshi cannot fall in love with Darien. It's SO cliche. Besides, he has a girl!!! Get over it!
  6. Keep it R and below (yes, we accept that kind of stuff). No Hentai. NO PORN WHATSOEVER. If two people do do the deed, have the camera turn away for the moment. Gay and lesbian is okay, just follow the "turn the camera" rule.
  7. No self-inclusion, please. You can include elements of your own personality, but the girl shouldn't be a carbon copy of you, or any other existing senshi already.
