Father, Son, Holy Spirit | ||||
Once again, many Christian churches would teach "The Trinity", which says that God,(The Father), Jesus Christ(The Son), and the Holy Ghost(Spirit) are all the same PERSON. Now the first question about the Trinity is, How can the Holy Spirit be a person if it is a Spirit? This question has never been answered to any point where I find it as true. Most people say "With God all things are possible". Though this statement is VERY true, why would God say that a Spirit is a person. Wouldn't that, in a way say that after we die, we become a person again, since if we go to Heaven and we are a spirit(after we die), and a spirit is a person, wouldn't that be kind of like re-incarntion(which is where after death you become another person or animal). But that is only the first thing that we see wrong with this belief. The second thing is this. If Jesus and the Father are the same person, then why would Jesus cry out "...My God, My God, why have you abandoned Me [leaving me helpless, forsaking, and failing Me in My need]?" That statement alone means that there must have been a God in heaven while His Son was on earth. If they were the same person, while Jesus was on earth, where was God in Heaven? And why would Jesus need to cry out to His Father if His Father was himself? And one last thing, why would the Bible say that Jesus was sitted at the Fathers right hand. Wouldn't that mean that God was beside himself? Now that I have explained why we dont believe in the Trinity, now its time to tell you our belief. We believe simply this. God is God, the Father Almighty. Jesus Christ is God's only Son, who was born of the virgin Mary, and concieved by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is God's Spirit. We believe that God and Jesus are two different people, but with the same Holy Spirit. Wasn't Jesus conceived by the Holy Spirit? Then wouldn't that make them the same Spirit? So instead of there being 3 people in the God head, we believe there is only 2 people in the God head. Jesus, and God. The Holy Spirit, which many teach is the 3rd person in the God Head, isn't a person, therefore it can't be in the God head. To answer a question before it is asked, im going to say this. When Jesus said in St. John 10:30 "I and the Father are one", He is not saying they are one person, he is saying that They have the same spirit and never "disagree". |
