| Long ago, deep in Transylvania, a legend was born. A she-wolf named Morgra was born. She was born with the Sight, a legendary and much feared power that allowed one to look into the water and see the past, present, and future. To see through the eyes of birds. *** Morgra was chased away from her pack, accused of a horrible crime. Haunted by the memory, and thirsting for revenge, she takes control of the Night Hunters, or the Balkar, a pack of male fighting wolves, and brings back the cult of the evil Wolfbane, Friend of the Dead. She strives to fulfill the ancient Prophecy, which speeks of one with the Sight gaining the ultimate power more terrible than even the Sight. *** Then, Morgra's arts show her that there is a pup born to her half-sister in a stone den. Palla and Huttser's cub, Larka, posesses the Sight as well. She is spoken of in the Verse of the Prophecy as the wolf with a coat of white. Morgra attempts to join their pack, but is rejected. She curses the family with her evil, and the Verse begins to unfold. *** As Larka grows, and the curse follows the family, she learns to control her powers and use them. In her journys, she learns of loss and suffering, but fights to bring back peace to the land. She confronts Morgra, and defeats her. But not without paying a price... *** Now, years later, Huttser and Palla's second litter, named after their beloved friends who fell to the curse of Morgra, leads the pack. After the deaths of Huttser, Palla, and Slavka, Khaz is the alpha male, a born fighter like the wolf for whom he was named, is the Alpha male. His brother and sisters, Larka, Kipcha, and Skop, along with Kar, are also part of the pack. Fell visits from time to time, for he still roams alone. But evil has once again been awakened. A follower of Morgra, Drekka, has rounded up a pack of fighters, the new Balkar, and has revived the cult of Wolfbane once more, in an attempt to rule all of the free Lera, the animals. *** Shall you rise to meet these challenges? Are you with Khaz, or the other packs that are alligned with his? Or are you with Drekka and the Balkar? The fate of all the Lera lies in the outcome of the struggle...so choose wisely...
