Drekka sent Frarrow ahead of her to gather updates on Morgra's doings, but the news of her defeat reached Drekka before she was able to make it to Transylvania.
So for a while, Drekka lived alone with Frarrow in a cave, perfecting her powers. But two and a half years later, she decided to try to take hold of the Lera, just as Morgra had tried to do. She revived the Balkar, the Night Hunters, and gathered some of Slavka's old rebels, and began to train them, filling their heads with lies. But she not only trained males, as Morgra had done, but males and females and cubs alike.
