...hanging around in my shop this fall. New pictures 12/15/96
A new guitar, (Ditz) with flame maple sides and back, is ready to get a fingerboard. | This guitar was taken to India where it was subjected to conditions that were too hot and humid. The owner had to leave it in Bombay for 6 months when the airline said she had already checked her maximum weight in baggage. I just took off the fingerboard. The bridge came off while the guitar sat in its case in bombay. The glue that I used on the bridge, binding, and the fingerboard liquified while in India. The rebuild required replacement of all three! |

Above are both guitars ready for setup and strings. Blondie left, Ditz right. |
Here is the old guitar (Blondie) after new I removed old bindings (!)
installed new ones, new fingerboard, and refinished the entire instrument.
|
Now here she is, ready for music.

Here is Blondie: contrast enhanced to emphasize maple grain patterns.
The back is flame, the sides are quilted. This guitar sounds sweet, deep,
and warm.
