       b. Then the temple (house) - II Chronicles 5:1,13-14
       c. Ezekiel 10:4,18-19; 11:22 - The glory departs
       d. Temple destroyed (II Kings 25:9)
       e. Prophecy of future sanctuary and glory - Ezk. 37:26-28; Haggai 2:6-9

3. Jesus comes

 a. Immanuel - "God with us" (Mt. 1:23)
       b. Dwelt (tabernacled) and we beheld His glory - John 1:14
       c. Jn. 2:21 - temple of His body

4. Christians are now the body of Christ (Eph. 5:30)

 * Therefore, now we are the dwelling place of God - Eph. 2:19-22; I Cor. 3:9, 16-17;
II Cor.  6: 16; Heb. 3:6; Heb. 8:1-2; 9:11; I Pet. 2:4-5; Rev. 21:3, 22

5. The Practicality
 * The church is to be kept pure, sacred and reverential - I Cor. 14:24-26,40
 * Our lives ought to be sanctified - Rom. 12:1; II Tim. 2:20-21
 * Our bodies must not be desecrated - I Cor. 6:18-20

FOUR ESSENTIALS OF SALVATION

1. FAITH............changes our Intellect (mind) - Acts 16:31

2. REPENTANCE.......changes our Will (direction) - Acts 3:19

3. CONFESSION.......changes our Allegiance (loyalty) - Romans 10:9,10

4. BAPTISM..........changes our Relationship (position) - Acts 2:38

* The order or proper sequence is important.
* All are essential and need to be met.
* Each does it's particular work and cannot be interchanged for another.

Credit goes to Phil Roberts for much of the first lesson.
