South of Scotland is a friendly, progressive club whose aims are to promote the German Shepherd according to the W.U.S.V. Standard. We are also very aware that dogs in general have had some very negative press over the past few years and in conjunction with the 2 training classes we run each week we promote the importance of being a responsible dog owner. Every year we hold 2 Breed shows, 1 Open and 1 Championship show or 2 Open shows according to the Kennel Club Rotation. 1997 we have an Open and Championship show. August 9th see our Championship show at the home of Border Union, the very impressive Springwood Park in Kelso. This is a superb venue for a breed show, rings can be as big (or as small) as you like with lots are sheltered car parking. Our 2 judges for this show are both awarding C.C.'s for the first time in the UK. Our Dog judge is Sue Belfield - Kassieger and our Bitch judge all the way from Germany is Herr Albrecht Woerner SV - von Thermodos. Show results will be published on this page after each show.

South of Scotland has over the past couple of years organised amongst other events, things like a trip to the Sieger show, a skittles night and a slide show. We regularly hold K.C. Good Citizen tests, again reinforcing the ideals of being a responsible dog owner.
