A list of some of the recordings I have:
Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra features a particularily nice oboe solo about
3 minutes in. The one I have is of the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Bernstein.
Oboe Sonatas (solo oboe with piano accompaniment), played by Hansjorg Schellenberger. This CD includes works
by Saint-Saens, Poulenc, Bozza, Dutilleux, and Debussy.
Mozart's Serenade in c-, K.388, played by the Hollinger Wind Ensemble.
Bizet: Symphony in C: Andante, played by the London Symphony Orchestra.
Dvorak's Symphony No.9 in e-, op. 95 (From the New World) is one of my favorite works.
The second movement (Largo) features a beautiful English horn (the alto oboe) solo.
As well, some great must-hears for oboe include Vivaldi's concertos (recommended: Heinz Hollinger, one of the world's best oboists),
Mozart's Oboe Quartet K.370 and his oboe concerto, Schumann's 3 Romances for oboe and piano, Brahm's Violin concerto, Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe and Tombeau de Couperin, and
Britten's Six metamorphoses after Ovid, Op. 49.

That awful "g" in the lower right hand corner? My apologies; I can't get rid of it (same goes for the annoying pop up window thing).
