In the beginning, GeoCities neighborhoods were divided into suburbs. Starting in February 2000, Yahoo stopped using suburbs. However, the suburbs that were already in place were allowed to remain, as long as the homesteader took care of the joint. When the suburbs stopped, Vienna was made up of seven suburbs, counting the original Vienna neighborhood as one suburb. Each suburb had 10,000 homesteads, and the entire neighborhood had the capacity for 70,000 homesteads. Most blocks were assigned a specific leader to whom homesteaders in that area could direct their questions. If you have a suburb address and want to find your leader, find your suburb from the list below, then find where your homestead number fits in. For instance, 2943 fits into the 2500-2999 block. If no leader is listed for that block, or if you arrived after blocks were discontinued, write to any of the other leaders. Leaders are listed here.
