OBJECTIVES

CONTRATIEMPO challenges itself with the not impossible but interesing work of bringing Flamenco close to schoolboys/girls and as a consequence make the flamenco show for children "Jugando con Pa Cuenca".

Its main goal is to make that this art we use, which, for the children and as a first impression, might seem serious, rigid and difficult, gets through in the most happy and amusing way. So children are able to understand that Flamenco is a languaje withw which one can also express daily life through the situations showed by musicians and dancers in the stage.

The didactic objectives chasen are:

• Place Flamenco in its cultural and historic perspective.
• Show the different elements that compose flamenco's art (dance, guitar, &dquot;jaleos&dquot;, singing, clapping).
• Give some rhitmic and expressive notions that help understand the huge wealth and complexity that Flamenco posseses.
